I rub my eyes, yawning and realizing that there's no more warmth. I shift my eyes to the spot next to me, slightly messy and empty.
Looks like Lachlan's out. I'll go change.
I walk into my room and put on a white tshirt along with a pair of jeans and put my hair up in a half ponytail. I grab my phone and decide to go brush my teeth. Walking into the bathroom, I grab my toothbrush and toothpaste and clean my teeth. It's a little steamy in here. Once finished, I decide to knock on Lachlan's room. Hmmm... He didn't answer. I'll just go in, then. I open the door and gasp, eyes wide, heart pounding as I see... The back of Lachlan, towel wrapped around his waist. I blush as I glance at his toned back before turning back towards the door, almost undetected.
But, just my luck. "Caitlin, what are you doing in here?" He asks, turning towards me. I gasp and blush harder as I notice his abs, then glance back at his face before dirty thoughts take over.
Wait, what?!
"Cait, I asked you a question." Lachlan says, jarring me from my mental overload.
"O-o-oh.. W-well u-uh I-I was just looking for you and y-you didn't answer wh-when I k-knocked." I respond.
Oooooohhhh is somebody blushinggggg?????" He cooes, teasing me.
"In your dreams." I respond, walking out of the door, but not before I hear a "I should do this more often." I shake my head, still blushing.
~
"Hurry up, Lachlan!" I yell, irritated."I'm coming!" He hollers, grabbing the suitcase that I packed for him last minute. Geez... Guys these days. Can't even pack a suitcase.
And I'm the one that should be purposely stalling. I still don't want to see my father. He's not even worthy of that title.
Lachlan runs down the stairs, backpack slung over his shoulders, as I rush past him and to the über. We hop inside and arrive at the airport in five minutes flat. Shakily, I get out, Lachlan offering me a hand, and we rush inside. After just a few minutes, we manage to get on the plane. I take the window seat after much convincing, and sigh.
"You're such a procrastinator." I say.
"Oh, really? Says the girl who decided to take a last minute trip to England." Lachlan playfully responds, as I jokingly punch him in the shoulder.
"It's fine; you'll get to see Vikk again, and then my ship will sail." I respond.
"What?!"
"Vikklan." I respond, an evil glint in my eye.
"But you're my girlfriend." He replies.
"Soooooo...?????" I joke, resting my head on his shoulder as he puts a movie on. "I wouldn't give you to Vikk that easily." I whisper, smiling.
~
"I'm tired.""Well, no duh. We've been on a plane for at least 12 hours." Lachlan says as we pick up our bags. Before I can make a comeback, a familiar British accent rings in my ears, causing a gigantic grin to form on my face.
"Why, hello there, mates!" Vikk says as I turn around and jump on him.
"Vikk!" I screech as he stumbles back with my weight on him.
"Ahahahagshzjshh!" He says, muffled.
"Cait, I think you're killing him." Lachlan says.
"Oops, right. Sorry." I say, letting go of Vikk. "It's been what... Almost a year and a half since we last saw each other?"
"Yeah. The guys have missed you like crazy." Vikk says as we walk to the über he called.
"I've missed them all too. How's Autumn doing?" I ask.
"She's dating Simon." Vikk responds as we get inside the über.
"Oh my gosh!" I squeal. "I knew it would happen! JJ owes me 50 euros!"
~
We walk into Vikk's house, where sounds of rage screaming can be heard. "W-what is going on here?" Lachlan asks."They're playing Dead by Daylight, don't worry. They always do this." Vikk responds as we head up the stairs to the spare bedroom, where one queen bed resides.
"It's alright if we go into town for a bit, right?" I ask him as he starts to walk to his room.
"Only if you make one of your delicious homemade meals!" Vikk responds.
"I will." I reply, smiling. "So, town?" I ask Lachlan.
"Sure. You know the city." He says and I nod, grabbing his hand and leading him out the door.
"There's Big Ben, and the London Eye, and oh! My favorite! This cute little tea shop that I haven't been to for ages!" I respond, literal stars in my eyes, happy to show Lachlan the place I grew up in. We order our tea and sit down, drinking. "I kinda missed this place." I sigh, taking it all in. "I never thought I'd ever be back."
"Well, it happened. And it's cute to see you this excited about something." He says, causing me to blush and smile.
"I won't be this excited tomorrow." I say.
"Ah, well... Just focus on today. You and me." He responds.
I grab his hand from across the table. "You're such a good boyfriend, you know that?"
"And you're the best girl I could ask for." He replies. I smile as we both stand up and walk out the door, but not before stealing a quick kiss.
