Tris's POV

My alarm clock wakes me up, and I have to fight the urge to throw it at the wall. I cut it off and get up out of bed. I go to my bathroom and take a quick shower.

I put on a white crop top, a red skater skirt, and black leggings. I curl my hair and apply black mascara, black eyeliner wing look, and red lipstick. I slip on my combat boots and put my phone in my backpack. I put on Tobias's leather jacket, my T necklace, and my promise ring. I grab my stuff and walk downstairs to the kitchen.

"Good morning, Mom. Dad. Caleb. How's life?" I ask.

"Why are you so happy?" Dad asks.

"Four and I are back together, and we're going on a date tonight," I answer.

"Ah. So, number boy's back," Caleb says.

"Yep. Is Susan still living? Is she still dealing with you?" I ask.

"For your information. Yes. And we couldn't be happier," he says.

"Ok. Whatever," I reply and grab an apple. I quickly eat it and throw away the apple core. There's a knock on the door.

"I got it!" Caleb yells.

"No! That's Four!" I yell and run after him. He still beats me to the door and opens it to reveal Tobias in all black.

"Hey, number boy. I heard you're back with my sister. You better not hurt her again. Or I will get you. And I know I'm not Dauntless, but I am Erudite. I can conjure up some serums that will ruin your life. So be careful with her. Have a nice day," Caleb says and walks away.

"For the first time ever, I am truly afraid of your brother," Tobias says, and I laugh.

"Come on. Let's go," I say and grab his arm. We get into his car, and he drives us to school. We get out, and I grab his hand. We walk to his locker first for him to get his stuff and then mine.

"I wish we had this next class together again," I say.

"I know. Me too. I hate spending time away from you. Anyway, I'm so excited for our date tonight," he says.

"I know. Me too. So, are you going to pick me up? Or what?" I ask.

"Just be at my house at 7:00," he answers.

"Ok," I say, and the bell rings.

"Bye, bumble bee," he says

"Bye," I say and kiss him lightly. I turn, and before I can walk away, he hugs me. I laugh and walk to my first class.

The bell rings, and I walk to the cafeteria. I get my lunch and sit down at the table. Tobias sits down beside me and kisses my cheek. We all start eating.

"So, Tris. Can you go shopping with me?" Christina asks, and I roll my eyes.

"Sorry. I can't. I'm going on a date with Four tonight," I answer.

"But. Next week is Christmas. I need to get gifts," she whines.

"I'm sorry. But I'm committed to our relationship," I say and grab Tobias's hand. He squeezes my hand, and I smile at him. He smiles back.

"Thanks a lot, Four. You took my best friend away from me," Christina says. "Well. My boyfriend will come with me. Won't you, Will?" Christina gives Will the puppy dog eyes.

"Of course I will, babe," Will says and kisses her.

"Yay!" she squeals.

"So, Tris. Christmas is coming up, and I was wondering if you would come to my family's Christmas party on Christmas Eve as my date?" Tobias asks.
