Max Pov
"When did they let nonfamily members into a room with the woman giving birth?" I asked Hope, she looked at me and chuckled pulling a pen out of her messy bun and scribbling a few notes down on a piece of paper.
"You're lucky I was taking the night shift" she said looking over briefly at Jin who was covered in kids, before looking back at me with kind eyes. "Turned one two weeks ago? Right?" she asked watching as Mason and Matthew scooted closer together, I have a feeling she shipped them too.
"Yes, and please answer the question" I said crossing my arms watching as her face gradually set into a resting bitch face, she raised her eyebrow and tucked her pen back into her bun. This girl is literally a foot shorter than me and she's making me feel small, how the hell?
"Well, we couldn't physically get her to let go of Ross' hand. And quite a few of the staff worked with Ross before, and decided that it would be best if he just stayed with her. You know just in case she got rowdy, you should have seen the look on Jamir's face when he saw him" She said tucking a strand of hair behind her ear, she looked up at me and patted my shoulder. "Good luck Max" she said walking off to down the hallway and disappearing.
"If you weren't already in an adorable OTP I would ship it" he said leaning on the hospital wall, I looked at him. It was a miracle in itself that he was able to come over we don't live that far away from each other but it still takes quite a while to drive over. He smiled at me quickly adjusting his glasses gesturing me over to him, he shoved his hands in his pockets "How you holding up?" he asked placing a hand on my shoulder, he was shorter than me but it didn't make him look smaller.
"Triplets, I know you're planning on adopting but, try triplets." I said leaning on the wall with him I heard him chuckle softly watching Jin interact with Pandora and Newt, Matthew and Mason were sleeping. He smiled softly at the scene playing out before him, he loved kids so it didn't surprise me that he was thinking about adopting. What was a surprise is when he showed up on me and Ross' apartment building in the rain and in emotional distress, maybe a few years back.
"Yeah, no thanks I already have an eye on a girl. She lives in Kentucky, gonna' give it a check in a few months" He said looking at me his chocolate brown eyes filled with hope and joy, "she seems really sweet, I'm afraid I'm going to get attached before too long" he sighed and rubbed the back of his neck, still smiling. "Then again is that a bad thing" he asked jokingly nudging me his shoulder, I roll my eyes and nudged him back.
"Speaking of attached have you talked to him about your kissy kissy feelings?" I asked jokingly watching as his face heated up, he was still smiling and he punched me in the shoulder a little harder than what could have been considered playful. He took of his glasses and wiped them with the hem of his shirt, he looked up at me before continuing to clean.
"As much as I love to how do you think that would turn out?" he asked putting his glasses on his face "Hey look, its tragic that girlfriend died in a car crash a few weeks ago and im sorry for your lose. But as it turns out I've been gay for you the first day we've talked! So if you could get over the traumatic scaring incident in your life, we could be a happy gay couple that millions of people have shipped since the beginning of our career!" he said sarcastically, making a mock rainbow motion above his head.
"You make a good point" I said booping his nose so he would drop the sarcasm, he deadpanned me and crossed his arms, stuck his hip out and looked like he was about to bitch slap me. He even looked at me over his glasses making sure he got his point across "okay, okay I get it! Stop being a smartass" I said.
