Melanie's POV

I groaned and pushed the pillow against my ear to block the loud noise from downstairs. I felt around the bed and noticed Alana wasn't here. I shot up, panic rushing through my body when I realized I was completely alone in the room. I was about to get out of bed when I heard her sweet laugh filling the whole house and footsteps coming towards the room.

The door shot open and Alana came in with a huge smile on her face. I was about to say something when she squealed and jumped on the bed and hid under the blanket, squeezing her body against mine. "Baby what are yo-" I was interrupted when I heard footsteps coming closer. That's when I saw Justin in front of the door.

He smiled when he saw me and walked towards me, kissing me on the cheek. "Hey babe, do you know where Alana is?" He asked, winking at me.

I felt Alana squirm under the blanket and peaked her head out a little, looking at me while bringing her finger up to her mouth. Giggling, she put the blanket on top of her head again.

I giggled at her and looked at Justin again. "No sorry." I smiled. I liked this. This is how it was suppose to be every morning.

"Aw that's too bad. I was going to show her something that I bought her yesterday." He shook his head, sighing.

Then, Alana shot up, removing the blanket completely off of her body. "What is it daddy?!" She yelled excitedly as she crawled over to Justin fast.

Before he could say anything, I said, "Woah babygirl. You have to eat breakfast first." I told her.

"Mommy." She whined making me raise an eyebrow at her. She pouted and looked over to Justin who sighed.

He looked at me, "Sorry sweetheart. Later. But hey, the faster you get ready for the day, the faster you'll eat breakfast and get your surprise." He winked at her making her giggle. She was such a daddy's girl. With that, she got out of the bed and ran across the room to hers to get her clothes.

I got out of bed and stood in front of Justin. "You're home." I smiled.

He chuckled. "Look babe, I'm so sorry about last night. Things just got out of hand at wor-"

"Don't worry about it Justin." I giggled. "You're here and that's all Alana and I wanted."

After I said that, guilt showed on Justin's eyes, "I promise I'll make it up to babe." He wrapped his arms around my waist and I reached up to wrap my arms around his neck.

"MOMMY!" Alana's loud voice rang through the house.

I let go of Justin and giggled. "That's my cue." Before I turned around to go into Alana's room, his warm hand grabbed mine.

"I got this babe. You go make breakfast and I'll help her." He smiled at me.

Justin's POV

"Hey!" I smirked as Melanie turned around and glared at me. I had just smacked her in the butt.

Before she could smack me back in the arm, I ran past her and into Alana's room. "Alana?" I called out her name, looking around the room for her. My eyes stopped when I saw her in front of her closet with a shirt tangled around her arms that were above her head. "What happened sweetheart?" I chuckled as I saw on my knees in front of her.

"I'm stuck." she whimpered.

I quickly helped her untangle the shirt from her arms. "There you go." I walked into her closet and picked an outfit and put it on her. "You brushed your teeth right?" I asked her before we went downstairs.

"Yes! See?" she stood in front of me and smiled widely, showing her baby teeth.

"Okay, come on." I smiled down at her.
