Justin's POV

Her eyes stared into mine filled with pure confusion and concern. Her hand gripped onto my shoulder in reassurance and comfort. Although she showed her support and love, I was still speechless and hesitant.

I quickly cleared my throat and stood up causing her to release me. "Uh- actually. Don't worry about it, babe." I said, trying to get rid of the anger that slowly began to die down in me. "Really. I'm just a little upset right now about something that's not even that big of a deal."

Rising up to her feet, she pushed the chair forward under the table. "Are you sure?" She questioned softly.

I licked my lips out of guilt as I continued to stare at her innocent, flawless face. You know what? No. I can't do this again. No more secrets and lies between us anymore. I want to start out fresh and since we just got out of huge break in our marriage, I don't want to screw it up again.

"No." I finally breathed out. "No, I'm not." I stressed out and closed my eyes as I brought my hands to face and let out a huge breath.

"Justin." I heard her say causing me to look up again. She looked uneasy and baffled. "Is it something with your tour? What's going on?" She asked as she walked towards me.

I sucked in a ball of air and exhaled deeply. "I really don't know how you're going to react by this but I want you to know that I have nothing to do this. I'm trying to prevent it from happening but Scooter and LA--"

"Justin. Baby." She stopped me with a small laugh and held onto my hands to shake them lightly. "What?" She questioned.

There's not running back now. Oh god. "Selena." I let out as a simple answer. Her face instantly fell and I immediately held her hands a little tighter before she could even think of letting me go. "I just found out and I had no idea that this was what they were planning on doing. Melanie, I swear. I had nothing to do with this." I quickly rushed out in one complete breath.

With blank eyes, she blinked and looked down. She licked her lips only to bite them as she looked up again with a nod. "Okay."

I stopped. Wait. "Okay?" I let out hesitantly.

She nodded. "Okay." She lifted her shoulder as a shrug. Noticing how I wasn't satisfied her answer, she continued. "I'm not mad.. if that's what you're wondering."

I furrowed my eyebrows at her as I slightly gaped. "You're not mad." I repeated.

She shook her head with her lips pursed and let out a small laugh. "I'm not mad. Promise." She said. "Justin, we just made up and got back together. I don't want to fight anymore." She spoke almost tiredly.

Remorse filled me and I wrapped my arms around her in an instant. "I'm sorry."

"Don't be." She spoke as she rested her chin on my shoulder. "I'm okay." She said. "We're okay." She corrected.

I nodded and pulled away. "I um.." I trailed off and licked my lips. "I actually walked out before I even got to the conference room so I still have to go in there."

"Oh." She let out in realization. "Yeah. Yeah, go ahead." She shot me a smile and gave me small shove.

Once I was about two feet away from her, I noticed the smile plastered on her face. It wasn't her usual bright smile. I paused and looked at her. "Do you want to come?" I suggested.

"No." She replied shortly and slapped the air dismissively as she crossed her arms. "I'll.. I'll be here." Again, she shot me another weak smile.

I looked at her. "Come here. Let's talk first." I went to grab her hand but she turned before I could even touch her.
