Melanie's POV

I smiled as I watched Alana standing on her tippy toes, trying to get a good look at all of the buttons that were laid right in front of her. Scooter looked and smiled down at her as he sat in front of the glass window where Justin was recording his final song.

"Baby, come here." I said softly.

Alana turned her head and walked over to me happily. "Yes?" She smiled, showing me all of her baby teeth.

"Sit with me." I told her, not wanting anything else but to wrap my arms around my little princess. As much as I hate admitting it, she's growing up so fast. She nodded and instantly climbed on my laps, making me grab her so she wouldn't fall.

"Is daddy almost done?" She asked as she laid her head on my chest. I nodded my head. This is the last day that Justin would be in the studio for the next month and a half because he'll finally be able to spend time with us.

Alana and I brought our focus back to Justin. He was perfect. The way he would belt out the notes yet still keep his posture seem like he's calm with his hands in his pockets. "Scooter." I heard. The unfamiliar voice made me turn my head to their direction. A girl who looked oddly familiar walked passed me and Alana as she stood right next to Scooter. Well okay, hi. Thanks for acknowledging us. I thought while mentally rolling my eyes. I couldn't seem to stop looking at her because I couldn't lay a finger on where I've seen her before. She noticed me staring since she merely looked at us with the corner of her eyes. She smiled. "Oh hi. I'm Carly."

Before I could say anything, Scooter full introduced to her. "This is Carly Rae Jepsen. She's the girl we signed a few weeks ago."

I slowly nodded my head. "Hi, I'm Melanie. Melanie Bieber." I said, knowing where I saw her. She was on the news with Justin when they were both seen together at that restaurant.

Her smile almost dropped when I mentioned Bieber. "Oh. So your Justin's wife. I'm so sorry about your divorce." She said sadly.

I was about to stand up so I could properly speak to her since I was sitting the whole time but Alana stopped me sleepily. I sighed and sat back down and laid Alana's head on my shoulder, lying her legs across mine so she was comfortable while replying to Carly's comment. "Actually, our divorce isn't happening anymore." I said, looking up to her and smiled.

Instantly, her smile dropped. But she suddenly smiled, which was clearly fake. "Well that's great." She said and immediately turned around back to where Scooter sat.

I made a face at her in annoyance when I heard a laugh. "Fake." Alfredo whispered to me ear and sat next to me.

"Like she wasn't being fake to me." I said, defending myself.

He patted my shoulder and rubbed Alana's tiny arm as she snuggled herself closer to me. "She's huge." He commented.

"I know. My baby's not a baby anymore." I pouted my lips and kissed her forehead.

Alfredo laughed at me. "How's her school?"

"It's great actually. She already loves it." I smiled at him. I noticed Scooter and Carly still had their backs turned to us but I didn't see Justin through the glass window. "Hey did you see Justin?"

He lifted his eyebrows and quickly tilted his head to the right of me making me turn my head. Just as I did, Justin's soft, plum lips slammed into mine making me smile. "Hey." he said, pulling away.

Alfredo and I were about to say something when Carly jumped in. "Oh hey Justin! Hey Alfredo!" She screamed making Alana lazily put her arm on top of her head.
