Melanie's POV

"Yes. I assure you Justin. She's fine and will wake up soon." A faint voice stated reassuringly.

"I'm sorry. I'm just a little shaken up about it." His voice instantly gave it away, letting me know it was Justin.

In the middle of their conversation, I tried to pry my eyes open only to have the bright lights blind me making me moan. Rushed footsteps ran to my side and I felt the familiar comfort of Justin's warm hand on my cheek. "Baby?" He quickly let out. "Can you hear me?"

I slowly nodded and squinted my eyes to look around the room. I was in a different room now and laid completely down on a comfortable hospital bed. "Hello Melanie. How are you feeling?" Dr. Reid asked as she did her thing with the different instruments that were around my bed.

"I'm okay." I croaked out and cleared my throat. "What happened?" I asked her but looked at Justin who clutched onto my hand and stared at me with worry and fear in his eyes.

"You fainted from the amount of shock you received from the news I gave you." She informed me. "But no worries. Heartbeat's fine, blood pressure is normal, and everything is okay." She smiled at me. "You may leave when you want to and your next appointment will be in 3 weeks. Just to see how the babies are doing."

"Okay. Thank Dr. Reid and I'm sorry for passing out on you." I softly laughed.

She laughed and got ready to leave. "Don't worry about it hun. Congrats though! I'll see you two soon." She smiled and left after we said good bye.

I faced Justin to see him with the same expression. "Justin. I'm fine." I reassured him in amusement. He acted like I was going to die or something.

"Don't you ever do that again." He said sternly.

I almost laughed. "I'm sorry for fainting." I said playfully.

He furrowed his eyebrows. "I thought you weren't going to wake up. You were out for almost an hour."

I sighed, realizing how worried he was and put my other hand over his hand that still clutched onto mine. "I'm fine now. I promise. Now stop worrying." I gave him a small smile.

He let out a deep breath while nodding. "You're right. Sorry." He leaned down and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "You ready to get out of here?"

"Yeah." I said and he helped me get up and opened the door for me.

"So." He cleared his throat as we walked down the halls. "By your reaction, I'm guessing you're not excited." His voice getting smaller as he finished.

It took me a while to understand what he was talking about. The twins. How do I feel about it? I don't even know to be honest. I mean, I have two freaking babies in my stomach right now. It's just so overwhelming. "Truthfully? I'm scared." I looked up at him. He stared back at me nervously. "I mean, just think about it. We're going to have two new babies in the house Justin." I let out. "Everything's going to change really fast."

He nodded and wrapped his arm around me, stopping us from walking. "I know. I'm nervous too but everything's going to be fine. I'll be right by your side Mel. I realize how much I messed up when we had Alana but it'll be different this time." He said sincerely. I looked into his brown orbs and couldn't help but believe every word that came out of his mouth.

"Promise?" I barely let out a whisper.

"I promise." He gave me a tight, comforting hug before placing a soft kiss on my lips. We stood in the middle of the hallways and Justin let out a deep breath in relief. "You're only 2 and a half weeks though. So, you won't be showing for a while." He told me as we walked hand in hand. "When do you want to start telling everyone?"
