Melanie's POV

"You're so cold." I said in shock as I rubbed Alana's bare arms. I immediately wrapped her around a dry and warm towel. It was nighttime already and everyone was still at the beach house.

It was quite nice actually. The faint voices around me, the music's volume was lowered and was changed into something calming and relaxing, and the sky was pitch black other than the moon and stars making the scenery perfect.

Alana had just laid herself on me and I cradled her in my arms as she was ready to fall asleep. I brought up the towel so she had more coverage and warmth. I leaned my head on hers and closed my head, the exhaustion taking over me.

Everything was so peaceful until someone whispered my name. "Melanie." I slowly opened my eyes and looked at their direction. "Hey, we're going to head out." Allison said in a hushed tone as Scooter and Carin stood behind her.

I nodded. "Okay." I gave them a distant/faint smile as they chuckled quietly. "It was nice seeing you guys again. We'll do this again soon." I told them.

They carefully hugged me. "Get some rest Mel." Scooter said before they all left.

I let out a big yawn and stood up with Alana still in my arms. Luckily for me, she was still light enough for me to carry her inside. One of the sound producers opened the door for me making me thank him before I stepped in. I was instantly greeted by the sound of laughter. I looked up to see Justin and Selena sitting fairly close to each other on the couch. They noticed I was there and looked at my direction as well.

They shot me a smile. "Hey, you need help with her?" Justin asked.

I simply shook my head. "I got it." I muttered before I silently groaned as I walked towards the stairs.

"Here, I got her, baby." I looked back to see Justin jogging to me.

I didn't say otherwise since there was no way that I, a pregnant lady, could carry an almost 5 year old up those stairs. I followed behind him, very sleepily I shall add and walked into one of the rooms after Justin. He carefully set her down and kissed her forehead. I went up to her next and did the same and fixed the blanket on top of her. We walked out of the room quietly and I shut the door behind me.

"I'm guessing we're sleeping here?" He lightly chuckled.

I nodded. "If you don't mind." I said. "I'm actually about to pass right now too." I added.

"Oh alright." He kissed my cheek. "I don't think they'll be here for that long. Just go to sleep and I'll take care of everything." He told me. "I'll meet you there later."

I shot him a tired smile. "Thank you." I leaned up and placed a chaste kiss on his cheek. "Good night."

"Night, I love you." He said.

"I love you too." I responded as we parted our ways. I was honestly too exhausted to even think or anything so I quickly walked into a room and laid down, instantly falling asleep after reading the time.

10:02 pm

------------

"Baby." Someone whispers, their hot minty breath hitting my face. I slightly frown due to them interrupting my slumber and turned away from them. "Mel." They started to softly shake me making me groan this time.

"What?" I whined with my eyes still closed.

"Everyone just left but hey." He said. I mentally cursed in annoyance and faced him, squinting my eyes open. "Selena might crash here."

That instantly got my attention as I turned my whole body towards me. "What, why?"

"Everyone found out that we're here and now there are a ton of people outside. Police said not to leave the house since they're trying to get rid of everyone right now and it might take a while." He explained.
