two policemen patrol the woods outside the bookstore, careful to avoid the high-strung paramedics. they're never much fun this early (or late) at night, especially with so little time to save the gasping survivor inside. they chat amongst themselves, lazily shining a flashlight here and there, expecting not to find anything

"must've been suicide, i'm telling you," one suggests to the other.

"who commits suicide with 6 stab wounds in the back?" the other shakes his head skeptically.

"suicidal people who hire hitman. or whatever lightens our workload."

they both chuckle at the small minded joke, pocketing their flashlights as they register the sky lightening in the very early morning. they continue to chat, passing by a thick tree without a second glance.

neither notices the brown haired boy rocking himself back and forth with a menacing smile on his face and licking blood off his fingertips.

the tall foxy blonde standing a couple feet back, gun in hand.

the hooded figure quietly crying at the base of a tree, mourning his personal loss.

whatever lightens their workload.
