i didn't plan for midnight man to be a murder fic, if anyone was wondering. i was writing a slow mysterious!tyler fic up until chapter 4. i hadn't updated in days and tbh i was just so confused on what i was even trying to write. i wanted it to be a sad but cute story about tyler, a boy with simple insomnia, opening up about his life to josh only to realize he wants to share that life with josh.

it all took a turn, as you can see.

i started reading listentomeimcool 's phanfics and

(YES you should read them. even if you don't like phan that much. even if you don't like dan and phil that much. those murderfics are a1)

they made me want to write a murder fic more and more. so, obviously i did. it wasn't great in my opinion, but i still like it. i like the way i actually had a plan for it all the way from chapter five. i mean, the plan changed quite a bit (originally josh was an undercover cop who arrested tyler in the end and they were still in love with each other in prison but that's lowkey already a fic so you get psycho!josh)

psycho! josh is really underappreciated.

i had fun writing this fic and gauging your reactions as you read through it, especially those who were reading as i updated like holy hell you all must've been so pissed after every bloody cliffhanger. i love you dearly. so sorry so sorry.

i M I G H T make a sequel WHICH WILL BE A FIRST FOR ME BECAUSE I HATE SEQUELS AND I NEVER READ OR WRITE THEM. but this one i left kinda open so i sort of want to. no promises, but make sure you follow me or keep this story in your library so you'll know if i do decide to write one.

anyway, that's all.

so *sniffs* without uh *wipes eyes* getting really sentimental and weepy, i just *voice breaks* wanted to um *coughs* let you all know that i... i was in a bad place once and writing fanfics seemed to make it worse. i recently fell back to my bad place, and writing this fanfic seemed to make it better. and that's you know *looks at smudged handwriting* beedrill chew rice - I MEAN because of you guys.

(not vinyldun i hate her she's perfect -ly a bitch don't read her fanfics ESPECIALLY the really good one called boys/boys/boys no no it's awful do.not.)

this authors note is getting lengthy, but i just think you guys deserve so much for being so wonderful, even if you don't think you are, and i owe you all for the happiness you've brought me.
