chapter 4. ♡

I stared at him still in shock of what just came out of his mouth. 

Chase Coins just asked me to be his girlfriend. Oh my god. 

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out. I was just in shock, but I was also thinking, about Austin. I mean is it possible to like two guys at the same time? I love Austin. Chase is just different and full of surprises. I have always had a crush on Chase. But Austin. Austin and I never will be a thing anyways. He just see's me as his friend, that's it. I should just go out with Chase. Right? I mean Austin will never feel the same way about me anyways. He's happy with Emma, my best friend. He'll never be mine.

I smiled at Chase before opening my mouth again, "Chase I would love to be yours." I smiled widely at him. I saw his eyes spark and a huge grin on his face, before he smashed his lips on mine. I can finally say, for once, I'm happy.

The rest of the day, Chase I hanged out and fooled around. We talked about everything and anything. I really do like him. Everytime I learn something new about him, the more I fall for him. He's so interesting.

"Lily." Chase called out as he laid down on the couch.

"Hm." I said as I faced him.

"Come cuddle with me." He pouted opening his hands for me. I smiled before jumping into his arms. I felt his arms around my waist tightly and smiled. The last thing I remember was falling asleep in his arms.

"Lily. Wake up love." Chase cooed in my ears sending a chill down my spine.

"Huh? What time is it?" I asked as I got up and stretched. 

"It's 9:00 PM." Chase said as he changed his shirt.

"I should probably get going then." I said as I grabbed my stuff from his counter. I was about to leave when he stopped me.

"Let me drive you, Lil's." He said as he grabbed his keys from the counter.

"No, it's fine. I can walk." I replied smiling lightly before putting my shoes on.

"No. It's 9 at night. I am not going to let you go alone. Please." Chase literally begged. I rolled my eyes and decided to drive me there. We got into the car. As soon as he started the car, he attached our hands together. I smiled as I saw him smile. We soon arrived at my house, I hugged Chase and thanked him.

"See you Chase. I had fun, thanks again." I said as I got out of the car and so did Chase. 

"I had a great time too. See you soon, Lil's." Chase said as he spun me around, making me face him, he looked into my eyes and my lips, before I knew it he placed his lips on mine. I smiled as he deepend the kiss. I soon pulled away breathless.

"Bye." I mumbled trying to catch my breath. I went inside and up to my room. I laid down on my bed thinking about everything that had just happened today. I changed into my pajamas. I was getting ready for bed, since I have school tomorrow, right when something hit my balcony door. I slowly walked up to my balcony and saw Austin.

"Oh my god. Austin what the hell are you doing here?!" I asked him as I grabbed a sweater since it was pretty cold outside. "Wait, come in first." I said as I opened my door for him. He went in my room and sat on my bed. I closed the door and sat right next to him, waiting for him to respond to me. 

"Well you weren't picking up your calls or texts all day and I was getting really worried. I stopped by your house around noon, but you weren't here." Austin started. "I was just worried. I thought something had happened to you." He finished looking down at the ground.

Awe. He's the best. That's why I love him. 

No, you don't love him, remember? You're with Chase!

But that still doesn't mean I don't have feelings for Austin.

You'll never be Austin's.

"Lil's, you alive? Hello?" Austin said as he waved his hands around my face as he interrupted my mind fighting. 

"Haha very funny. I'm alive." I said as I rolled my eyes. "And that's really sweet you care and all, but you didn't have to worry. I was with Chase all day." I said nodding.

Wow. I sound like a bitch.

"Oh." Was all Austin said.

"Yeah." I nodded again. "You should get going. See you tomorrow at school." I said as I opened the balcony door for him.

"Yeah, uh bye." He said not making any eye contact with me whatsoever. Rude.

"Bye." I said as I closed my door. I don't care if I was being a bitch to Austin. He doesn't know I love him, but that is my fault. 

Next Day

I woke up and checked my phone. No morning text from Austin? What the fuck. Morning text were our thing though. I shrugged it off and pretended it didn't bother me, but it did a lot. I brushed my teeth, took a shower, got dressed, and ate breakfast before going to school. Austin usually would pick me up, but he didn't. I sighed and Chase gave me a ride. We talked on our way to school, but I didn't listen. I just wondered about Austin. This was unusual. Once we got to school, I kissed Chase a goodbye and rushed off to first period. I had the class with Austin and other people. I spotted Austin as soon as I walked into the classroom. I sat next to him. "What the hell?" I asked him referring to him ditching me and not texting me.

"So  you see now how I felt." Austin said as he faced me.

"Okay, I'm sorry for being such a jerk yesterday Austin." I admitted.

"Okay." He responded.

"Wow." I rolled my eyes and sat away from Austin. He can be so stubborn sometimes. I didn't look at him the whole class and we didn't pass notes around like usual. I didn't pay attention to the teacher, at all. I was just wondering what was up with Austin. He wasn't trying to get revenge, their was something else too. But what?

The class ended quickly and I had second period with Emma. I walked into class and took my usual seat next to Emma. We talked a bit until the teacher came and started class. I rolled my eyes at how annoying Mr. Hags was. I was about to fall asleep when I felt someone tap my back and hand me a note. It was from Emma.

Emma: Lil's you okay? You don't seem like yourself today. Everything alright?

I grabbed my pencil from my desk and wrote back to her saying I was fine, just tired. She said okay and we stopped passing notes. The class ended and everyone went to lunch. Chase and I walked together and all eyes were on us. He squeezed my hand tighter as more people watched us. I didn't really mind, until I saw Austin. He was staring at us. I couldn't exactly see any emotion in his expression. Just hurt and a little bit of jealousy?
