chapter 16. ♡

I woke up the next morning with a smile framed onto my face. Why was I smiling?  I have no idea. Was it creeping me out? Yes, yes it was. 

I shrugged and immediately wiped the devilish smile off my face and got up and stretched. I yawned and scanned my room for my phone. My vision still bleary from sleeping, I got up and slipped from my clothes from the ground. I heard a loud thump, from my fall, and I groaned in pain. I rubbed my eyes, standing back up. I slowly bent over and examined the piece of cloth I slipped on, before throwing it into my closet. I sighed as I walked over to my phone which was on the other side of the room, next to my hair dresser. I picked it up quickly as I rushed through my messages. I had three text messages?

The first one was from Austin, okay not surprised.

The second one was from Chase, I was expecting that.

And the last one was the person who I hated, who I have forever been jealous from...

Emma.

I blinked numerous times, realizing the fact Emma messaged me. I thought she hated me? Didn't she? I totally ignored Austin's and Chase's messages and eagerly opened Emma's. I guess I was mad at her, but I get it, I think. I read the test message, slowly, examining each word.

Emma: Hey Lil's! I know you probably hate me. :( I just wanted to say, I'm sorry. I feel horrible for everything I said and did. I know you probably aren't going to read this, but I really miss you. </3 If you still want to be friends, meet me at the mall in an hour. ? Thanks Lil's, bye. xx

I laughed quietly to myself as I reread the message again. Was I going to go to the mall? I don't know. Do I miss Emma? Yes, so much. I sighed as I rubbed my forehead, trying to proceed everything that happened. Once I gathered all my thoughts together, I got up and started getting ready because I am going to the mall! 

Once I applied my light makeup and straightened my hair, I grabbed my things and skipped down the stairs. I went into my kitchen where my mom and brother were eating breakfast, "Morning!" I chirped as I grabbed an orange from the fruit basket on the counter. My mom and brother replied back to me with a simple, goodmorning. I smiled as I peeled my orange and digested it. 

"Where are you going, Lil's?" My mom asked as I grabbed for her car keys.

"I'm going to the mall with Emma. I'll be back in a few!" I replied as I saw her nod her head in agreement. "Bye mom! Bye, Mat." I said as I opened the door and put on my shoes.

"Bye!" They said in unison as I smiled and closed the door. I gladly jumped into my mom's car and started the engine. I don't know why, but today was a happy day. Everything seemed to be so- so perfect. For once at least! 

I blasted on the radio and started singing to the song that was playing, Bad Day. I wouldn't consider myself a 'Belieber' because I wasn't in love with Bieber, I just love his songs. 

Few minutes later, I arrived at the mall. I smiled as I got out of the car and brushed my outfit before walking into the mall. I searched for Emma, but soon found her, in the candy store. I laughed quietly to myself before walking up to her. "Hey!" I said as I saw Emma snap her head back into my direction, immediately a huge grin formed on her lips. Before I knew it, she engulfed me in a bone crushing hug. 

"Oh my god! Lily, you came! I missed you so much! I'm so sorry about everything! I- I didn't mean any of it, I- I was just so mad! And I didn't mean to be like that, I guess I was just-" Emma started, but I cut her off from blabbering on.

"Emma, it's okay, just let go of me before I die." I choked out, barely breathing. She let go and looked down,

"Heh, sorry?" She said more like a question. I laughed as I gave her a light hug.
