Something's weren't meant to be mine.

Nothing's forever, forever's a lie. All we have is between hello and goodbye.

You know it's love when you have been saying goodbye for how many times, but you're still not ready to leave.

If only you were still here to be mine.

Austin's POV

Today's the day. Today's the day everyone has been dreading about. Today my life with be ruined or completed. Today is the day.

Everything comes up to this. My life depends on this. No, I don't think I'm overreacting. This is the day everything happens.

I'm not completely sure on how I feel. I feel lost, uncertain. My confusion for this whole situation is still unanswered.

So many questions, left without an answer. So many questions, still questions. Nobody knows why, who, how, or anything matter of fact.

As they say, everything happens for a reason, good and bad. But why? Why does all the bad come to everyone good? It's these things that get me so furious yet broken. I'm the type of person who needs answers, who would do absolutely anything for anyone. People tend to say my heart is big, but I say otherwise, because if their aren't people nice in the world, what is the world?

I sighed as my finger ran through my curls that laid upon my head. I bit my lip, stroking Lily's lifeless hand on the hospital bed. Looking at her hurt, because all she looked like was a broken, dead person. No words could explain how hurt, damaged I was feeling. No one could feel me, someone once did, but she is laying in front of me; broken.

I examined her pale skin, her dry, plump lips, her tan legs, and her beautiful eyes that were sadly sealed closed. I looked away, not wanting to cry. I cried too much that even if I wanted to cry, not a single tear would drop out of my eye.

Lily's parents walked into the room, their eyes landing on me first, then Lily. Sadness washed over there body as they frowned looking at Lily. They walked over next to me, patting my shoulders as they placed themselves onto the seats that stood in front of me.

"Here hun, I brought you some Starbucks," Mitchie said, handing me the cup. (Mitchie's Lily's mom)

I let out a throaty, 'thank you' before taking the Starbucks in her hands and digesting it. It really helped, Starbucks always helps. I let out a deep breath, turning my attention once again to Lily who laid silent.

"Austin, you should be heading home, son." Rick said as his hands slowly patted my knee. (Rick's Lily's dad)  I shook my head, not wanting to leave Lily's side.

"No, no, I want to stay," I disagreed, "I- I want to stay by L-Lily." I stumbled with my words, but quickly finished off my sentence.

Rick slowly nodded, understanding. "Okay," He breathed out, giving me a soft smile. I returned it back, but it was only fake. I couldn't smile for the world. Even if I tried, nothing would happen. It'd just look like I'm constipated or something because my lips wouldn't function going upward.

I shrugged my shoulders as I suddenly had the urge of going to the bathroom. I excused myself and went into the nearest restroom. Once I got to the bathroom, I know longer needed to use it. I mentally rolled my eyes, doesn't that ever happen to you? One minute you are dying to use the bathroom, the next you don't even have to one bit. I absolutely hate it. As I made my way out, I noticed a full length body mirror, I quickly glanced by, scanning my reflection. I was about to exit, but I quickly made my way back to the mirror looking at myself again. Ew, my mind spoke. What even. Nasty, my mind yelled. My eyes widened at my reflection; my hair was all over the place, Afro like, my eyes were as red as a firetruck, mainly from all that crying, and my clothes which only were sweats and a shirt looked so crumpled up and nasty. I took my hands and ran it down my sides, trying my best to straighten my clothes out. I used my hands as a comb, brushing through my hair, making it look normal. As soon as I thought I looked presentable enough, I boosted out of the bathroom and zoomed into Lily's hospital room.
