*Couple Weeks Later*
School is finally over. Tests, gone. Homework, vanished. Everything stressful is gone. It's just me, summer, and the best thing, Austin.
But it's weird though, Austin hasn't been texting me lately. I've been getting a weird feeling about this, I'm not sure if it's good or bad, scratch that, it's bad- horrible in fact. I just wish he would call or even text me, he can't just do this to me. He can't.
I sighed as I got up from my bed and went into the bathroom. Ew. My mind commented. I look like shit. But hey, when do I not? I shrugged off my negative thoughts as I undressed myself and took a warm shower. Whenever I'm stressed, a shower always helps me. Draining away my thoughts, emptying me. Once I finished, I got out and changed into my clothes I had laid out on my bed. I quickly got changed and walked over to my phone. Nothing. I bit my lip as I scrolled through my text when I stopped, Austin. I began thinking to myself whether I should text him or not. Finally, after arguing with myself, I texted him.
Me: Hey Austin, you haven't been texting me lately and I've been really worried. Is everything okay? Text me back soon please. Bye. :\
I shrugged my shoulders re- reading my text and finally hitting send. I let out a deep breath as I got out of my room and headed downstairs. Even though it's summer, I have nothing to do. Sometimes, I wish I could go to school during the summer, because I am so bored. But when I go to school, I wish it was summer, weird right? I jumped off my last step as I spotted Mat on the couch with his phone in one hand and chips in another.
"Hey," I sighed as I sat on him.
"Lily, get off." Mat said as he tried to push me off.
"No thanks, I rather not." I smiled as he groaned.
"Ugh. I hate you." He mumbled. But I knew he was kidding, so I didn't care.
"No you don't." I said.
"Whatever." He growled. I laughed at how angry he was and decided to get off of him. I walked over to the kitchen and opened up the fridge. I spotted purple/blue Gatorade, my favorite. I grabbed it and began chugging it down. I placed it on my counter as I took a seat on my spinny chair. I messed with my phone, until it vibrated alerting me I had a new text, Austin.
Austin: Oh hey Lily, sorry I haven't been texting you, it's just I have been really busy with stuff.
Me: Stuff? What do you mean?
Austin: Just stuff. I have a life ya know.
Me: Whatever, talk to me when you aren't being a jerk.
I sighed as I rubbed my temple, comprehending what just happened. Why is he being so rude? It's not like him. Did I do something? No, well at least I don't think. We haven't even talked yet. I'm just really worried. He didn't text me back anymore and I have to admit, I was a bit upset about that. I shrugged it off and decided to text Emma.
Me: Hey Em, want to hang out? :)
Emma: Sorry, can't. Hanging out with Austin. :( Maybe later?
Me: Uh, yeah sure. Bye.
Emma: Bye.
Well, now I know where Austin is. I wouldn't exactly say I was angry about that, just a little upset he didn't tell me himself. I'm not mad at the fact he's with Emma, no not at all. They are still together. And that was my idea. I decided to go for a walk down by the park. I grabbed a light hoodie since it was a little windy outside. I made my way to the park as my eye caught someone swinging. I began walking over to them and before I knew it, they were facing me.
