There's bugs under your skin.

"What!" I yelled, feeling crawling legs under my skin. I began to scratch at my arms through my sweater, but it did little to make the sensation stop.

You gotta let them out.

"I'm trying!" I replied quickly, tugging off my hoodie so I could scratch my bare skin.

Your gash.

"Huh?"

Let the bugs out, Tyler.

Now I understood. I pulled harshly at the gauze wrapped around my arm, but the tape wouldn't let go.

"What're you doing?" The shapeless blob asked.

"There's... bugs under my skin," I replied, finally pulling the gauze off. "Gotta let them out,"

Tossing the bandage to the side, I reached out to stick my fingers in the cut, but the blob stopped me.

"Do you want the bugs to eat me?" I asked, panicking.

"Tyler, I promise there are no bugs under your skin. Josh said you mom's on her way,"

"Josh is here?" I asked, looking over the blob into the darkness that awaited, but saw nothing except a pair of glowing red eyes.

"He's inside," The blob sounded a bit scared. What does a shapeless blob have to be scared of? Just bounce away if you're scared.

"Inside where?" I squinted my eyes, hoping to see something in the distance. More red eyes appeared. "Who are they?"

"Who's who?" The blob asked, shifting a bit.

"The glowing eyes," I rolled my eyes. Quiet voices came from the darkness, it almost sounded like someone was calling for me. "Do they need help?"

"Tyler, I don't—"

"Mrs. J called me back, she's stuck in traffic. She says we should take him inside, somewhere familiar. Best we can do is wait it out until she can bring his pills," Another blob spoke, emerging from the darkness.

"Do you know who they are?" I asked the second blob.

"Who?" It asked.

"The glowing eyes! I think they're asking for help..."

They poisoned the pills.

Whatever you do, don't take them.

I nodded my head in response, still watching the glowing eyes as they would trade positions sometimes, almost creating a light show.

"There's no..?"

"Let's just get him inside,"

As I watched the eyes, mesmerized by their dance, the blobs materialized on either side of me, lifting me to my feet. "Where are we going?"

"Josh's bedroom," The first blob answered.

Tyler.

The bugs.

"Aahh!" I yelped, pulling my arms free from the blobs, clawing at my cut again.

"Stop him!" One of the blobs yelled, trying to separate my hand from my arm.

"Do you want them to EAT me?" I yelled. The bigger blob held my hands behind my back, guiding me into the darkness as I thrashed and tried to break free.

"What's he talking about?"

"He says there's bugs under his skin. I haven't seen him have an episode like this in years.."
