I blocked Zack's shot, laughing triumphantly as he whined about how well the shot was lined up and how unfair I was playing. I rolled my eyes, dribbling the ball back to the front of the driveway.

"I did nothing wrong, you're just a sore loser," I teased.

Taking advantage of Zack's poor attitude, I took the extra time to line up a trick shot, and just as I was about to shoot...

Miss! Miss! Miss!

The voice began to chant, making me cringe as I shot the ball, missing by a long shot.

God, you suck.

He laughed, making me roll my eyes as I waited for Zack to pass me the ball.

How did you ever make the team?

"I earned that spot," I scoffed.

You were homeschooled when you got it! You stole that spot from an actual student.

Inhaling deeply, I tried to ignore him.

"You okay?" Zack asked, a concerned expression on his face as he passed me the ball.

I rolled my eyes. "That's a loaded question if I've ever heard one."

He shrugged. "You know you can talk to me, man,"

I sighed, attempting to take another shot. "I know, I just don't really want to. It's hard to talk about,"

"Try," He prompted.

I lowered the ball, thinking for a second. Is it really worth it to tell him, or is he just gonna be afraid of me like Maddy and Jay?

Of course he will, and he has reason to be. You're literally insane.

"You know, if I could have even two seconds to think without you, that would be amazing." I snapped, not realizing until after that I was looking right at Zack when I spoke. "You know I wasn't talking to you," I spoke softly.

He nodded, giving me a smile. "What'd he say?"

I looked everywhere but him, wanting to avoid the question. I know he doesn't like it when I talk about what he's saying to me.

Go ahead, tell him. See what happens.

He spoke menacingly, making me sigh and rub my eyes. "Look, Zack, you know he doesn't—"

"This isn't about what he likes," he interrupted. "This is about you."

I sighed again, getting frustrated. I was starting to feel overwhelmed with him going off in my head about what would happen if I told Zack, and Zack trying to get me to open up... I know he means well, but I'm just trying to look out for his safety. If what our parents and the doctors supposedly say is true, and he is as violent as they say, I don't want to put anyone in danger, especially Zack.

I fiddled with the ball in my hands, trying desperately to ignore the two of them.

"Ty?" Zack asked, but he sounded distant. I shifted my gaze to him, suddenly feeling as distant as Zack sounded. I stared ahead at him blankly, beginning to feel tingly throughout my body. I've felt this way a few times in the past that I can remember, but I never actually put two and two together that maybe this is what happens before—

Third Person

"Tyler," Zack tried again, stepping closer to his brother, waving a hand in front of his face. He watched as Tyler slowly began to blink and look around them, seemingly taking in his surroundings as if it were the first time. "Dude, you good?" He raised an eyebrow.
