I'm awoken by a strange scent, a scent of....weed? God, is that weed? It smells terrible. As I start opening my eyes, I notice that I'm not in my room. I jolt right out of bed, not my bed, but someone's. It's so dark here, the only light is helping make this room more visible is the moonlight that is streaming in through the curtains.
I walk through the hallway, there's a staircase that leads to downstairs. I slowly walk down the staircase and start hearing people. People talking, people laughing, people cheering, I just hear people. A crowd of people, actually. Did I sneak out or something and just passed out on someone's bed? Who's house is this? I've been through a few house parties, but this one seems unrecognizable.
As I step off the stairs, I walk in to a dining room I believe. You can see the dinner table and the chairs surrounding it. The table is barely visible due to all the drinks, cups, pipes, and clothes even. Clothes?? Seriously, where the hell am I? I don't even remember sneaking out to come here.
As I walk past the dining room, there's a glass sliding door that leads to the backyard, the door is half opened and you can see a huge crowd piling up outside. I slowly walk through the door and see what seems to be the messiest party I have ever attended. I see cups, cigarettes, once again clothes, pizza, and even people all over the grass in the backyard. How did I end up here? I don't even know these people.
I stand there and watch the crowd party since I'm not that big of a 'party gal'. This huge crowd is basically about 5 different crowds that are coincidentally right next to each other. Crowd #1, I see a bunch of drunk girls grinding on to any guy that calls them beautiful. Crowd #2, we've got the annoying phone-addicts that feel the need to snapchat everything that happens at a party.  They look like a bunch of dweebs waving their phones around while the flash is on. Crowd #3, I mean if you consider them a crowd. I see about 15 pairs of couples sloppily making out in front of everyone. Nice, we definitely need these horn dogs at these kind of parties. Crowd #4, we've got the dudes that are 'super cool' when it comes to alcohol. Basically they fill their cups with an absurd amount of alcohol, and then once they've had a little too much, they ironically decide to snatch the bottle of liquor and just chug it in front of everyone. What a beautiful and stupid scenery. Last, but definitely not the least. Crowd #5. Actually, I can't figure out what this crowd is doing. They're playing on something, I know that. I see them surrounding a table?
I walk closer to crowd #5 and try to figure out what they're doing. As I step closer, I realize that only boys are in this crowd. I can actually recognize their faces, well only a few them. Some are from my old school and others I've seen around campus during summer school. I see Matt, Cameron, Johnson, this other kid I've seen around, I don't know his name, but he has really bright blue eyes. I also see Aaron, and Carter. The rest of the guys I'm unfamiliar with.
As I get to where their crowd is at, I see two of the boys doing something, on opposite sides. I try to look through the heads but they're all so tall. I try jumping a little bit to try and get a better view. Wait. Are you kidding me? These boys really brought a foosball table outside. This is what they're hyping up about. I see Cameron playing on one side, and Jack playing on the other. Jack? What's he doing here? At a party like this? Why am I even going to ask that question when I can't even answer it for myself.
Jack looks angry. He looks so concentrated in to the game, he almost looks like he's going to beat up Cameron. Jack suddenly stops and gives Cameron this death glare. Jack quickly stands up, runs around the crowd and pulls Cameron out of it.
Cameron shoves Jack, Jack shoves him back, but this time Cameron falls. I'm frozen. I want to stop it, but I can't. I'm stuck in the moment. Jack starts punching Cameron like crazy, but he's able to block them out. Cameron finally stands up and lays a punch right on Jack's jaw. Jack loses his balance and blurts something out. I can't figure out what he said, but I guess it was something insulting since they're fighting over it. Right when Cameron is about to lay another punch on Jack, the boy with the pretty blue eyes comes in and pushes back Cameron.
I feel like I can finally breathe. Once the fight stops, I feel like I can move. I run to Jack and he has tears in his eyes.
He falls on to his knees and seems to be emotional. He puts on his hoodie from his sweatshirt and raises his hands on to his face. I kneel down a little bit, once I'm positioned face-to-face with Jack.
"Baby." I try to say without my voice trembling from all the action that just happens seconds ago.
"Baby. What's wrong?" I say as I cup his face with my hands. He's not responding to me, he just keeps shaking his head slowly.
  "Babe please answer me."
"Why did you fight Cameron?" Still no response.
"Answer me!" As I try to raise my voice, but can't.
"What was it all for?" My voice begins to crack. Don't you dare cry Amelia. Not now. Not in front of everyone. As I'm cupping Jack's face, I feel the swollen up part on his jaw. Cameron really nailed his target.
"Tell me! Before I walk away!" I say as I start to get up. I look down on him, he's still kneeling down with his head down.
He finally gets up and looks at me. While he was getting up, I noticed the whole 'party' crowd has stopped all of their commotion and decided to surround us. They're all super quiet. Watching Jack and I intently.
I finally get to clearly see Jack's face. He has a about 3 bruises. One on his jaw, another on the left hand side of his forehead, and another bruise on his neck. On his neck? Since when did Cameron punch him in the neck? Oh well. I'm not trying to focus so much on his bruises right now.
I look in to his eyes and realize how red they are. He was crying. That's why he didn't want to speak, he couldn't without crying right in front of everyone. Why is he crying? Why isn't he speaking to me?
"Talk to me, Jack!" I scream out.
"I'm tired of hearing so much silence!"
His eyes finally look in to mine, his ears are finally listening instead of hearing. He takes a soft sniffle before he says something to me.
   "I couldn't wait." He says.
