"Hey babe." Jack greets me as I get in the car.
  "Hi." I say shyly.
"Did you think about it?" He asks.
  "Think about what?"
  "You know.." He mumbles.
  "Ohh, the thing?"
  "Yeah the thing."
"I don't know Jack, I really have thought about it, but I just don't know."
  "You don't know what?"
  "I'm just scared."
"Of what? I'm not going to hurt you." He responds.
"I'm scared that the outcome of it will ruin our lives."
"Are you talking about being pregnant?" Right after he asks that question I can see his jaw clench and his hands grip on to the wheel.
  "Yeah.."
"You're not going to get pregnant, Amelia." He never uses my name. Gosh, now I know he's getting pissed off.
"What if we're not careful enough?" I ask.
"Don't say that. We will be." I can tell he's growing impatient with me.
  "What if we're not?"
"There's a very small chance of you getting pregnant, trust me it won't happen."
"What if we're that small chance?" We're almost to my grandma's house, I just want to avoid this conversation right now.
"What if this, what if that. You keep pushing this shit Amelia."
"I'm not pushing anything, I'm just trying to look out for myself. Something you lack of doing for me."
"I'm not obligated to look out for you." He says in a dark tone.
"I get that, but we're in a relationship Jack. You have to understand that we both have to look out for each other." He stays silent.
"What if we are stupid? What if we're that small chance? What if I get pregnant? What if you leave me afterwards?" I add.
"Why are you always focusing on the negative of things? Seriously? You can't enjoy one fucking thing without thinking of something that will probably never happen." He's so stubborn. He isn't listening to a single word I'm saying.
"That's not even the point here. The point here is if I do end up getting pregnant with YOUR child, it's going to be on you too. It's your kid, it has you in them. Sadly they're going to inherit your stubbornness."
"Once again, nothing is going to happen. Forget about the 'what ifs' okay? I'm not going to hurt you okay? I'm not going to get you pregnant, I promise. I'm not going to make you regret this decision, trust me." He says sincerely. We start arriving on my grandma's block. I wish we arrived here sooner so we could've avoided this stupid argument.
"Jack I don't know. It's just a lot to take in. This is all new to us. I don't want to be the one to screw it up. Trust me, I've thought about it and I want it too. Just give me some more time." I say.
"How much more time?" He asks.
"Does it matter?" I say. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that in a rude tone, it's just does it? Does the time matter? When I'm ready, I'll let you know, okay?"
"Okay Amy, I'll wait for you." He looks at me and smiles. He pulls up on to my grandma's driveway and parks.
"You'll wait?" I ask him, just to see where his head is at.
"I'll wait." He says as he tries leaning in for a kiss. His lips are so soft and his kiss is light. He slowly cups my face with his hands so he can deepen the kiss. His tongue lightly brushes up against mine. His hands slowly reach bottom of my shirt and try to find their way up my shirt, but then I grab his wrist gently. I stop him, and once I do I can feel him smiling. I open my eyes and he's grinning like an idiot.
  "You said you would wait."
"I'll wait." He responds with that huge grin on his face.
"It's just so hard when....well when I'm hard." He says. I look down at the huge bulge in his shorts.
  "It'll have to wait."
"It will. If I will, it will too." He laughs. Aww he's so cute. I love this boy too much that I can't even stay mad at him. I lean to give him a small kiss.
"I'll wait." He repeats as I unbuckle my seatbelt. "You'll wait." I repeat as well. I get out of the van and start walking towards the door. Before I knock, I watch Jack drive out of the driveway.
Once I knock on the door, my aunt Susan actually opens the door.
"Hey Amy, here for the kids?" She asks.
"Psssh forget the kids I'm here for you too." I laugh.
"Come in, this kids are upstairs." She says. I walk in and leave my backpack on the couch. I get on upstairs and look for everyone. They're not in the guest room, maybe they're in my grandma's room. I slowly open the door, but once I do hear sudden footsteps stomping all over the room. Once I open the door I see everyone suspiciously on the bed.
"Hey guys, what were you guys doing?" I ask.
"We were just checking out your boyfriend." Patty says.
"We weren't necessarily checking him out." Omar says.
"We were just keeping an eye on him." Izzy says.
  "Why?" I ask.
"You don't have any older brothers so who else is going to keep him on check? That's where Omar and I step in." Izzy says.
"Whatever he's a great guy, so you guys have nothing on him." I say.
"Didn't look like he was that great of a guy when he tried putting his hands up your shirt." Nayzeth says. Patty laughs at her response.
"You guys saw that?" I'm so embarrassed right now. I can feel my checks heat up. I can't believe they saw that. I have nothing with showing affection when it comes to Jack, but what they saw was something for than affectionate.
"You sick kid. If he pulls something like that again, he's going to get his ass beat." Izzy says while Omar nods.
"Shut up. Let's go get something to eat, I didn't breakfast this morning. I brought $40 today."
"Anyone up for wing stop?" I say. They all cheer at my response.
  "Wing stop it is."
