Wait? Couldn't wait for what? This doesn't make any sense.
I roll around in my bed out of frustration. Wait, my bed? I open my eyes. I'm in bed. My bed. I'm in my room. I never left the house, it was all a dream. That makes so much more sense. I sigh in relief. I'm so glad it was all a dream. I was so caught up in to it, I actually thought it was all real.
I get up and start getting ready for school. Summer school finally ends on Friday! I'm so ready for this. Too bad it's only Tuesday, but I just can't wait for Friday to come, well actually I can. Jack leaves for his football trip Friday morning. Thursday is going to be the last day I'll be able to see him before he leaves for two weeks. Now that I think about it, we've never been separated from that long. The longest we have ever been separated would probably be about 4 days. I know it's stupid, but what can I say? We're an attached couple. I just hope he has a good time, that's all.
Once I'm ready to leave, I grab some money from the little stash I keep in my sock drawer and take about $40 from it. I'm glad I have a stash to rely on, to be honest. I always save my allowances, birthday, and Christmas money. I rarely go shopping unless I really want or need something, but I rarely do. My parents always buy me clothes when it's necessary, but I tend to wear the same 10 outfits all year long.
I start heading out the door. Once I'm out, I tie my vans up. I woke up a few minutes later than usual so I'm going to have to lightly jog to the bus stop. The bus stop is about 2 blocks away, so it shouldn't take me long. At least my backpack won't weigh me down since I only have a pencil, a highlighter, and a notebook in there.
I put my headphones in and start my mini jog. Once I reach the bus stop, the bus is less than a block away. I'm right on time. I pay the usual $1.25 and then I find a seat.
I examine the bus as I'm searching for an available seat. And I spot Katrina towards the back, she's seating in a two seater except her backpack is taking the other seat. She sees me and removes her backpack, which means I can sit there. She's listening to music and so am I. Once I sit next to her we just look out the window and listen to our music. We don't say one word to each other, we just listen to our music. I actually like it better like this. I mean we both want to listen to music so why feel the need to talk to one another? I just love how comfortable we are in our friendship. We don't even need to speak to each other, we just kind of cling to each other. It's like we both know that we mean a lot to each other, it's just we're not annoying about it, we just know.
Our stop is here and walk out of the bus. We have 2 blocks to walk, but that's fine. We're still listening to music, until Katrina takes off her headphones and asks me.
"I see you walking around with Shawn after class, I see you." She smirks.
"It's not like that, we're just really good friends." I respond.
"Oh I see that. Reaaaaallly good friends." She says while really emphasizes the word really.
"He's cute." She adds.
"I know he is, but I honestly don't see the hype about him."
"How can't you?"
"I don't know, I've just never seen him as more than a friend."
"I know you don't, but seriously if you weren't with Jack..would you be in to Shawn?" She asks. That's actually a good question. He's not a bad guy, he's super sweet and funny. What am I thinking? I only have eyes for Jack. Only him.
"No I wouldn't."
"Lies! You hesitated!"
"I didn't!"
"It took you like 20 seconds to reply."
"I was thinking about it."
"If you wouldn't be in to him, then why'd you take time to think about it? Since you already know that you wouldn't." She says sarcastically.
"I was thinking about how I only see him as a brother."
"It's not right to find your brother attractive."
"I never said that."
"But you agreed to it."
"Whatever." I say. By the time we stop speaking, we have already entered through the front gate.
"Have fun in class. Don't get too distracted by your boyfriend."
"He's not my boyfriend."
"I bet that's not what your heart is telling you right now."
"Bye Katrina." I say.
She really won't let it go. Oh well, I mean she was like this when I first started speaking to Jack. The only difference here is that I'm not in to Shawn.
I walk in to class and see that Mary is in her assigned seat today. Thank God. Shawn looks up and smiles at me, of course I smile back. I sit in my seat and start the worksheet that has already been passed out.

*******************************************

The bell rings as I bolt through the door. I'm waiting outside of the railing for Shawn, as I'm waiting I run in to Katrina again.
"Aren't you a great girlfriend? Waiting outside of class so you can walk your boyfriend to the front."
"Actually he walks me." I try to snap at her, but I can't help laughing a little bit.
"Ohhh it's at that stage huh?"
"What stage?"
"The walking stage. You know? Once he starts walking you to the front, then when school starts he'll start walking you to class, then he'll start walking you to your front door, and next thing you know you'll both be walking down the aisle together."
"Piss off." I laugh. I see Shawn barely walking out the door.
"Bye Katrina." I say to her.
"Invite me to the wedding!" She yells out as she starts heading out.
"What wedding is she talking about?" Shawn asks. Little does he know that she's talking about ours. It's not going to actually happen, but I mean she was talking about that.
"Nothing, we were just talking about how it would be like if Jack and I had a wedding." He smile kind of softens and he kind of gives me this uncertain smile.
"Is something wrong?" I ask as he starts looking at the ground, when he normally always faces me.
"No. Nothing is wrong, but I wouldn't say something's right either." He says with a cheesy smile.
"This is why I can't check up on you because I never know if you're serious or not."
"When am I ever serious?"
"Exactly! You're not serious, that's why it's so hard to understand how you're feeling."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"It means you're emotionless and unpredictable."
"I take both of those as a compliment."
"Did I also mention you're annoying as well?"
"Annoyingly handsome?" He says with a smirk.
"What the heck. No. That's not even a thing."
"In my case it is." He says in a cocky tone.
"I just remembered, I had the weirdest dream last night and you were in it." He furrows his eyebrows in disbelief.
"Really?" He asks.
"Yeah you were in it, Jack was in it, Johnson, Cameron, and Matt were in it too."
"That's random, what happened?" He says in curiosity.
"All hell broke loose! You wouldn't believe who got in to a fight!"
"Who??"
"Jack and Ca-" I'm once again cut off by Jack's dad's mini van car horn. I didn't even notice that we were already in the front of the school.
"I'll tell you about it later, I should probably go with Jack already. I don't want him to honk again."
"Don't let the curiosity kill me. I don't want to wait a whole day just to know what happened." He says.
"Give me your phone." He hands me his phone, but unlocks it first. I search for the contacts application and add my number in.
"Here, text me when you think you're going to get killed by all the curiosity that you're going to experience later." I laugh as I hand back his phone.
"What if I almost die tonight because of the curiosity that's out to get me?"
"Then I guess I'll be expecting a text from you very soon." I smile as I turn around and walk towards the van. I kind of liked how I ended that conversation with Shawn. It was fun and witty. I like that. He's fun and unpredictable. You never know what to expect when it comes to Shawn Mendes.
