Phil's P.O.V
"So, what's next?" I asked excitedly once we were outside
"I don't know about you guys, but I'm starving." Chris complained.
"Me too. Let's eat." Dan chipped in and his response caused Chris to squeal like a four-year-old.
"Chris, we're going to eat, not to a play centre." I told him sarcastically and he stuck his tongue out at me childishly for my words.
We soon arrived at a nearby McDonalds and, as soon as we got in, Chris ran across the building full speed and to the back of the queue. Everyone around was sending him disapproving looks, but he was oblivious to them all.
"The food isn't going anywhere, Chris." Dan said, raising his voice slightly so he would be heard. Once again, he stuck his tongue out at us, making Dan and I give a slight chuckle.
We both stood next to Chris in the queue, me on one side and Dan on the other.
My stomach gave a quiet grumble, unnoticed by the others but Jason had something to say about it.
'A fat ass like you shouldn't be hungry. If you carry on eating the way you have been, Dan really will break up with you. No one will pity a fat freak like you forever, you know.'
He's right.
"Hey Phil, what are you planning on getting." Chris asked next to me with a bright smile.
"Um, I'm not really that hungry." I lied, trying to send him a smile back but failing.
I really hate lying to Chris; he always seems to be able to tell.
Chris shot me a worried look before turning to Dan and asking him the same question.
"I'm getting a big mac. What about you?" Dan replied.
They continued to converse until we ordered and they got their meals.
I sat in silence the whole time they ate, secretly jealous of them but not allowing myself to show that. As soon as they were both finished, we parted ways.
"Bye, Chris, see you soon." Dan yelled, louder than necessary, as Chris walked in the opposite direction out of the fast food restaurant.
"Bye." He shouted, equally loud.
He turned around and waved to us both; Dan gave him an overly dramatic wave and wiped away his fake tears as I gave him a small wave, biting the inside of my lip.
Jason wouldn't shut up.
'You're a fat ass and what kind of person is jealous of their friends?'
'All you ever do is eat; a few days without food won't do anything but good for you.'
'I'm surprised Dan didn't break up with you earlier after seeing how pathetic you were because he kissed you. It was a kiss for fuck's sake.'
'I'm surprised he hasn't left you already. He gets nothing out of being with you. You're fat; you're ugly; you're stupid; you're annoying; and, most of all, you're a fucked up freak. No one actually wants to date a neko.'
'Just like that woman said the other day: you should die, it would do the world a favour.'
"Phil?!" I heard Dan shout worriedly.
"Y-yeah?" I asked innocently, hoping Dan hadn't caught on to the fact that I've been struggling so much with Jason. He'd just get worse if he did and I don't need any more pity from him.
"Are you okay?" He asked, much gentler this time.
"I-I'm fine. Don't worry." I replied, giving him the most realistic smile I could.
