Taz and Carlos walked out into the garden. Before Carlos left Taz he whispered to Taz, "jou look beautiful. Believe in yourself. Te amo." They shared a small kiss on the cheek, and he walked off towards her mother Rosa, her father Juan, and her younger brother José.

Everyone was looking at her wide-eyed because no one had even seen Taz look so much like a girl. She was a tomboy and that's how everyone knew her. She heard "awe"s and "ooo"s when she walked out. She almost wanted to attack them all because she hated those kind of complements but she had to act like a lady tonight, for her mother. She wasn't looking forward to dancing either but her mother would be mad if she didn't, especially the stupid "surprise dance" that everyone already knew about, even though it would be a little fun from working with her brothers for the past week on it.

Taz smiled at the crowd who cheered for her, "Happy Quince!" They yelled. Taz nodded to them.

"Mija." Juan, her father, walked up to her, she looked at her life-long role model, "you look beautiful tonight..." he looked close to tears to see his daughter in that dress, "jou're the confident, gorgeous, young lady I always knew jou'd turn out to be..." he smiled.

"Gracias, papá." She smiled at her father.

"Ladies and Gentleman," Juan announced, then quietly added to Taz, "please sit down." She did as she was told and sat in the chair behind them, the crowd quietly walked closer to Juan and started to listen to his speech, "My daughter, Tasmina Emilia Lopez, today, turns fifteen. A Quinceañera, is the transition from being a young girl, to adulthood. Tasmina, today, jou become a woman. Carlos," he calls him over, "please change her flats to heels, as she grows from being a girl to a women."

Carlos smiled at his sister as he changed her shoes, from her black boots, that took a minute to untie, to her black heels. He then gave Taz and hand up from the chair. Taz gave Carlos eyes that said "help me with these shoes" and he chuckled.

As her father's speech came to a close, he turned to his daughter, "Time for our dance?" He smiled, she nodded, and he led her to the dance floor.

They danced the waltz to the beautiful sounds of mariachi over the speakers, her father proud of his now, grown women.

After a quick bow, her father told her to go mingle with her guests, "jou haven't seen jour tío in months, be a good host." He urges her on. "Happy Quince, mija." He smiled, planting a small kiss on her forehead. Taz gave him a small smile, nodded, then walked around the the party, shaking hands, talking to old family members and friends for a while, then walked over to the tree that she had been sitting in earlier that day.

Carlos ran over quickly and passed her the boots she had been wearing, "want to change?" He laughed.

"Gracias." She groaned. Carlos ran off and left Taz alone at the tree. She took off the heels, that she couldn't stand, she thanked le Dios that she was able to stand for so long, and slipped on her boots. She groaned as she switched the shoes, but sighed thankful that she did. Once done, probably one of the hardest things she'd done(due to the big dress), she leaned against the tree.

She looked around to see if any of the Rangers were at her party yet, but she didn't look right next to her, "What are you looking for, miss?" A manly voice said that she couldn't recognize.

Shocked Taz turned her head and gasped, "Oh lo siento, I didn't see jou standing there." She had soon realized after looking slightly at the person that it was a man and he had asked a question, "Oh uh... Nothing." Taz turned to face him to tell him not to call her "miss" but got caught in a pair of beautiful water blue eyes. She had never seen blue eyes in Mexico. She had lost thought and soon was just staring into his eyes. She soon realized she was staring and looked down.
