Chapter 6 - Only The Start

Up is walking Taz to class, both talking and laughing. Finally they get there, "Here we are, just go on down this hill and as you can see, the platform they want you to go to is the sandpit right over there and I'll see you later." Up said and started to walk away.

Taz looked around while he was talking, lots of grass, two backstops, a sandpit, a blacktop and a track. When Up started to walk away Taz ran back to him in realization. "Can jou walk me down there?"

He looked back at her, "If I walk you down, you won't meet new people."

"I don't care. I don't like people. Can jou please?"

Up didn't pay any attention to the part of him walking her down, "go make friends, I'll meet you right back here after your class so I can show you to your next class. Okay?"

Taz gave him a pouty look, "Fine." She started to walk down the towards the sandpit, she looked back at Up and waved then continued walking with a sigh. Taz soon got down to the sandpit, a few students were there in little groups talking to one-n-other. Taz had no one to talk to.

Taz was standing around for a minute or so as she fixed up her gloves until she heard a girl's voice say: "Up"

Taz turned her head then turned it back so it didn't seem like she heard. She decided to scoot closer to listen better.

"Up is the hottest student in the academy-but-like-a teacher." A short blonde haired girl said to a brown haired girl.

"Yeah." The brown haired girl agreed dreamily.

"Sadly, we don't have him as a teacher sense we are in the science officer training." The blonde one said sadly.

"Ugh, I know." Said the browned haired one, "but I saw him with this girl earlier and he was laughing and stuff with her, do you think he is dating? I didn't see the girl very well-"

"-oh no, he's not dating, I know because of other people snooping."

"But there's still that girl I saw."

"I wouldn't worry about her. Besides, we don't even know who she is or what she looks like. We would know her if he was dating her."

Taz was just laughing mentally throughout this conversation, she knew that they were talking about her. But the fact that her new best friend was the hottest guy in the academy? She thought to herself more about this topic but soon the teacher came. Everyone stood tall and saluted to the teacher. Taz actually knew what to do this time.

"Hello Everyone, as you know, I am Commander Valor. You can call me just Commander or just Valor if you want to be expelled." Everyone laughed and giggled at that, "so let's get started. Two laps around the track now!" He yelled.

Everyone stood at him frozen, Taz was already running over to the track as everyone was still still.

"Like right now?" The blonde girl asked stupidly.

"No, In an hour." The commander joked sarcastically, "YES NOW, GO!" He yelled.

Everyone flinched and started to run. When Taz got around to her second lap everyone was still just starting, Taz ran her last lap and ran back to the commander. "I did my two laps sir." Taz said as he was in shock by how fast she was.

"Okay..um..thank you for actually going when I told you to. You can just wait here till everyone gets back. What was your name again, private?"

"Tasmina Lopez but por favor call me Taz." Taz said to the commander.
