Taz waited patiently for the the assembly to start(Just to tell her what teacher had her room number and how to get in). The assembly started with a loud sound of a microphone - feedback. All the students covered their ears by the sound.
"Sorry, sorry everyone." Commander Valor said through the mic, "Well, anyway, You will all be assigned to your dorms by one of the teachers, according to your last name. A-F, with Mrs. Norris...." Commander Valor started off naming the letters of the alphabet according to last names and teachers to go to for it. Lastly he finally got to one Taz wanted to hear, "J-O with Mrs. Brown..."
Taz started off towards Mrs. Brown to get her room number. There was a long line but not too long. Taz waited and waited till she got to the teacher, "Tasmina Lopez" she told Mrs. Brown when though she already knew her from language/reading.
"Oh yes! Ms. Lopez! You enjoying your book?" She asked while finding Taz's slip making small talk.
"Uh- yeah." She said in surprise of small talk, "it's very good. I've gotten about a few pages in." She replied.
"Well that's wonderful!" She said and started mumbling to herself where the paper was and finally pulled it out, "Ah! Here you go Tasmina.-"
"-Taz. Taz." Taz interrupted.
"Oh yes! Taz sorry. I'm not used to calling you that yet." Mrs. Brown replied very sorry that she had forgotten that she liked being called "Taz" instead of her real name.
"It's fine." Taz said nicely.
"Well, here you go." She said giving Taz her room number slip, "and how you get in is by hand print. Just set yours in for your own hand once you get there. And there is an actual key on the slip if the hand print doesn't work." Mrs. Brown smiled at Taz, "have a good day!"
"Gracias." Taz said and walked off.
Taz looked around after finally getting out of the Great Hall, it was packed with new years. She saw three girls walking and ran up to them, "¿Sabe usted dónde están los dormitorios?" She asked not realizing that she was speaking her native language. They looked at her weird not understanding, "lo siento, uh- Do you know where the dorms are?" she asked.
"Oh! Uh- yeah, follow us." A brown haired girl said who seemed pretty nice and was probably a third or second year.
"Gracias!" Taz said thankful that someone could help her other than Up.
"So, for our little walk, who are you?" The brown haired girl asked.
"Uh- my name's Taz." Taz said, "who are jou?"
"I'm Alyssa." She said, "This is Lexi and Jamie." Pointing to the two other girls walking with her.
"Hola Alyssa, Lexi, Jamie." Taz greeted.
"I love your accent!" Jamie said.
"Gracias." Taz thanked.
"Me too! It's so cool. What language is it?" Lexi agreed and asked.
"I'm Mexican, It's Spanish." Taz said coldly.
"Ah! I knew I recognized it... Probably from the Spanish teacher." Alyssa said and soon they finally got to where some hallways lead to other dorms, "Here we are, Taz."
Taz looked and saw something that look familiar... "That way leads to Up's room! I remember!" Taz thought. Taz looked down at her paper:
