Chapter 5 - Assembly

Up had woke up early that morning to find Taz still sleeping, she looked so peaceful while she was sleeping, the total opposite of what she was. Up had gotten ready for the day. As he was straightening up as Taz started waking up.

Taz rubbed her eyes and looked over to were Up was standing fixing his shirt. "Buenas días" She said to him sounding very tired.

"Oh. Goodmorning Taz." He said with a smile, "you should get ready, you have a big day today at the academy."

Taz groaned, "Okay father" she joked sarcastically.

Up just laughed and continued to fix up. "Hurry, I gotta get there fast." He smiled, "I'm a teacher now." He added.

"Okay fine." Taz said getting up and fixing her hair back to the way it was yesterday.

Soon Up and Taz were ready and on their way down to the great hall for the assembly.

"I have to go over with the other teachers, you just stay here and more kids will be coming very soon." Up said then smiled, "see you later Taz" he added and went off.

"Bye..." She said quietly but he was already gone.

Soon all the kids were there and standing around. Taz could barley see where the teachers were anymore-she had been so short and everyone was so tall. Everyone was talking to someone else, except Taz. She decided to just stand tall and look around. "Be tough." She repeated to herself as she looked around. She soon saw that everyone stood tall and looked forward so she followed.

Everyone saluted to the teachers. Taz was confused and just followed along for the second time having no clue why.

"Hello everyone, my name is Commander Valor, but you can call me just commander of you like." He paused. "I am filling in for Admiral Hawkins today sense he could not make it, but you will treat him just as you treat me and better! Today I will introduce you to all of your teachers and pass out your schedules. After this assembly you will go to each of your classes. Then we'll meet here again and one teacher will come tell you where your dorm is. Without further-a-do, here are your teachers." He said as all the teacher walked toward him.

Taz saw Up and waved a little and he waved back. Taz smiled and looked down in shyness then up again.

Commander Valor introduced every teacher and finally got to Up. "This is Lieutenant Up, he will be teaching your combat classes."

"Hello Everyone, hope the see you in my class soon." Up said with a small smirky smile and walked away from the commander with a nod.

"That's all your teachers everyone, you will get your schedules by one of the teachers on your way out" commander Valor said pointing toward the door.

Everyone started to rush out. Taz was flung off her feet onto the ground as everyone passed to get their schedules. Taz was on the floor soon a kid about 17 years old walks up to her a puts his hand out, "Here" he said. He had light brown hair, brown eyes, and was pretty tall.

Taz took his hand and was pulled up , "gracias" she said as she pulled her hand away and dusting herself off. As the boy looked confused at what she said.

"I'm Krayonder." He says putting his hand out again to shake, "who are you?"

"I'm Taz." She said shaking his hand.

"It was great to met you Taz. Hopefully I see you soon!" Krayonder said happily.

Taz pulled away and gave a weird look. "Bye?" And he ran off into the crowd to get his schedule.

Taz waited a while till mostlikey everyone was gone. Lopez was pretty much last anyway. Taz walked up to a teacher named "Mrs. Norris". She was the calculus teacher. She wore a huge burgundy Fedora and long trench coat though it hadn't been raining. She looked like a fancy Colombo. Taz hated calculus which made her almost despise the teacher. Taz never understood it nor did she want to, she was only 15 for God's sake. Taz hated it, it was really tough for her considering she'd only been up to geometry.

"Tasmina Lopez." Taz said to the lady.

"Um..." She said looking through the other schedules, "someone already took yours"

"What?" Taz said confused and looked around, she saw Up waving it back and forth to her, "oh um, I know who has it. Gracias." And walked off towards Up with power, "Jou took my schedule!?"

"Sì. Haha that was fun. Maybe I'll try some of your Spanish now." He said jokingly.

"Okay, okay haha, very funny Up." Taz said sarcastically, "now give me my schedule or I'll kill jou." As Up raised it up high in the air as Taz jumped up to get it.

Up started to laugh as Taz kept jumping up to get it. "That's not funny Up!" Taz said angrily still jumping up and down-"I hate being short" she thought.

Up laughed again, "okay, okay fine." He said putting it down for Taz to grab, "you gotta get to your first class."

Taz glared at Up with a look that said 'could've gave me my schedule.' "Physical Education? With commander Valor? Right now?" She said confused.

"You better go down to the training field." Up said.

"I don't know where the training field is. Can you show me?" Taz said to Up.

"Sure, come on." Up said walking her over to the training field.
