A/N: Going a little ahead right now cause I can? Well, mostly I need to move the story along like this so anyway, enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two years passed. Things went back to normal and Taz did her usual after school training with Up every-other-day. Some nights they would watch movies and other nights not. Up had left sometimes and Taz would step in for his classes. Taz had gone through high courses as well. She was on her third year at the academy and had one more to go. Her hair had grown back out to the wavy hair she had long ago. Up had helped her along the way through the Academy and she counted on him.
Taz and Parker hung out all the time as well. Taz was always grateful to have Parker in class. Last year, they had the same calculus class and boy did they annoy the teacher! Taz always felt safe and happy with Parker. She was his best friend and they were unstoppable.
This year, Taz was held back in calculus but it didn't bother her because that meant she didn't have to do a more advanced class. She had As in all her other classes though.
Having the Lieutenant as your best friend was also great cause he could get you out of a lot of stuff that happens around.
----
"Commander. Are you serious?" Up's voice said in a mix of surprise, confusion, and happiness.
"Yes, I'm serious." Commander Valor laughed, "I want you to take my spot."
"Commander-"
"Up. You deserve it." He smiled thinking back, "I remember when I was awarded commander like how I am to you now. He told me this, 'You get to choose your Lieutenant. But, they must be graduated. Most importantly, they must be smart and brave. The two things a great leader needs. You have to be okay with death.'" He paused, "That is why I choose you Up. Because I knew that you could handle the position. Up," he put a hand on his shoulder, "you're needed for much more in the world today. I'm only getting older as you are becoming brighter. You will start as commander as soon as you have your lieutenant. Please, don't let me down."
Up smiled briefly. His mind was filled with happiness and tears that did not form. "Thank you, Commander-I mean, Valor. It's been an honor being your Lieutenant. I greatly take the position as Commander."
"Commander Up." He smiled, "Has a nice ring to it." He laughed.
All Up could do was smile and nod. Words couldn't describe his feelings at the moment. He was so happy, all he wanted to do was to go tell Taz.
--
"Taz!" Up ran down the hall making his way to her dorm room, "Taz!" He knocked harder than he should've, not thinking. Someone else opened the door besides Taz. He forgot she had roommates. "Is Taz there?" He asked trying to catch his breath and sounding frantic.
"Yeah. Why?" February asked with a smirk.
"I have something to tell her..." he tried to think of an excuse, "for... class." He said slowly and as professional as he could after catching his breath and sounding like a little child.
"Who's at de door?" Taz asked getting up from her bed, reading.
Soon, the whole room was wondering who, "Who is it Feb?" Abby asked.
"Okay, whatever, come in." February opened the door wider for Up to come in.
Up walk in slowly as Taz walked up to him, "What de hell are jou doing her-"
"Taz. Come. Quick." Up said with a huge smile he couldn't hide and ran out of the room, going towards his.
"What?" She walked faster, more in a jog, outside of their room with her roommates giving her a confused look.
When Taz got to his room she quickly shut the door, "What do jou want?"
"Look." He said holding out his new badge.
