Chapter 20 - The Warmest Hello

Taz woke up with a start and hit her head, as usual, on the bunk. "Fuck!" She mouthed, "I always do dat..." she said in a quiet whisper rubbing her head.

She got up and got dressed and did everything as usual. She looked at herself in the mirror, "Today or tomorrow..." she whispered, "early morning tomorrow... late night today..." she tried to stay positive, "Up's coming home..."

She ran out to breakfast, after being ready, to see Parker sitting and eating. She ran over and sat with him. "You gunna eat?" He asked.

"No-" she started but he already had an apple in front of her to eat. "Gracias..." she started eating it.

"No problem." He paused thinking of what to say, "You think Up will be home tonight?"

"I hope so..." she said slowly.

"Wanna watch the second and third Karate Kid today?" Parker asked.

"Sì." She paused, "den I'll go see Up once he gets here." She laughed a bit but made it go away before anyone could see.

"Alright." He laughed.

After eating and talking, the bell rang. "See jou later!" Taz said starting to run towards the gym.

"Bye, Taz!" He said walking off to his first class.

Taz had her usual classes. She would categorize them all this way:

1st period: Lazy.
2nd period: Annoying.
3rd period: Jumpy.
4th period: Wanting to get it over with. (She should know, she's in that period.)

She enjoyed being the teacher but she wanted to work with weapons again. But only Up had permission to teach that.

She wanted the day over with. Mostly to watch Karate Kid and see Up.

Up had been walking all day and was tired. "These it?" A ranger asked pointing a a little hole under some leaves.

"That's it!" Commander Valor said.

"Finally!" Up laughed. "I'm tired now."

"We'll be on our way back to earth real soon." Commander Valor said with a smile to Up, "and I'm sure Taz will be happy to hear."

Up smiled to himself. Late tonight we shall get home, Taz will be thrilled.

After forth period, Taz was happy that she was done. Her and Parker had been cleaning up the mats again, "Was today your last day of teaching?"

"Up wants me to teach again tomorrow. He'll be here though. I'll ask if I can just help more and have him view and tell me what to do. I'm done with doing it myself." She laughed.

Parker laughed with her, "One more day." He said happily.

"Sì..." she said slowly. "So-" she thought, "we still up for tonight?" She laughed.

"Yeah-" he laughed, "I left my case in Up's room so we're set." He smiled.

"Okay." She smiled and laid down on the floor after putting away the last mat.

Parker laid down as well. "I can't wait to become a real Starship Ranger." He sighed, "helping people all around, using a zapper to shot random shit, and-" he was cut off by Taz laughing, "what's so funny?" He asked turning his head to her.

She was still laughing, "'Shot random shit'" she quoted him still laughing.

He started laughing as well, "I made it funnier than I needed it to be" he laughed again and looked up at the ceiling.

"Okay," she tried to breath, "Keep going." She said still trying to breath.

"Well... I think the best part about even trying to become a Starship Ranger is... well, making new friends." He smiled at Taz, "like you." He looked back up again.
