REVISION COMPLETE 5/13/24: So, the concept of the original story has pretty much flown out the window at this point... And I lied. Rogue may be the next one to discover everything, but he sure isn't the first one to show feelings... you'll just have to read hehe
Anyway, I was thinking of changing Ginger to Happy, but I decided against it since I want all the Exceeds to be in human form and classmates of Wendy and Romeo! More on that in later chapters...

Starting today, it's officially been two weeks since I transferred from Phoenix Academy. The guys have calmed down a bit on their tricks. Part of it must have been Jellal constantly telling them off, but it was more likely because I didn't seem to give them the reaction they wanted. Specifically, Natsu and Sting were not happy whenever I gave them an indifferent reaction or ended up avoiding their devious and childish plans. Laxus and Gajeel still poke fun at me occasionally to see if I'll start getting irritated, but I've heard worse insults. Other than that, they just ignore me.
Ever since I saw Loke first thing in the morning, he's done all he can to avoid me. As for Gray and Rogue, I keep catching them looking at me. Although, Gray ends up smirking creepily at me before picking a fight. Honestly, at this point, it should be considered banter. He's become more comfortable with me if you will.
But Rogue would just scoff and look away, or glare me down with contempt. I did learn of his confrontation with Jellal through the latter, but I didn't expect him to react like this. Surely, he knows some things by now... but I guess the Academy did erase a lot of my past away. I'll give it another week before he pieces it all together.
Besides the guys, the girls have changed a bit too. I met Jenny, the cheer captain, while she was recruiting Lisanna and Kinana at lunch one day. She was so sweet, but... maybe just a little too conceited for my tastes. The two tried out today, so the results will be posted tomorrow. Erza and I could finally go out by ourselves and catch up. Needless to say, the rest of the girls have been more confident and lively than when I first met them. Pretty sure it's because the guys have finally let up on messing with them. Wendy and Juvia had also signed up for the event committee, something that they expressed deep interest in from the start but never intended to do before.
"Well, now, didn't know blondie wore glasses." I looked up from the boiling pot of noodles to see Gray leaning on the wall, with just his boxers. Oh yeah. Also something I've learned to get used to.
With a sigh, I turned my attention back to the pot. "Yeah? What about it? Fitting for a nerd?"
"If you must know, Four Eyes," I swear I felt a vein pop at the new nickname. "It's very fitting, and can score you some points with the guys."
"...ew." I turned back to him in disgust, only to see he had moved next to me and was putting an apron on. My look of disgust turned into confusion. "I'm sorry, but just what are you doing?"
"Contrary to what you believe, I'm not like Flame Brain and the other idiots." He replied as he opened the jar of tomato sauce. "While they were raised like parasites, I learned to show respect wherever needed. Despite how we've treated you, you've still fed us. So, I'm gonna help you."
I couldn't believe it. Gray Fullbuster, the infamous stripper of Fiore Academy, acts like a decent human being. Naked, but still decent. I chuckled before returning to the noodles once more. "Thanks. But next time, have clothes on too."
