REVISION COMPLETE 6/4/24: The first chapter to be given a new title! More of the boys will start having their own revelations, but some might not regain memories for a while. This was also the first chapter where I had those ending scenes of the "cast" and myself. Safe to say I won't be doing those in the revisions... those are too yucky for me now, but back then it was so much fun.

Anyway, I've also begun keeping a timeline of events so that the actual flow makes sense. Hopefully, this will help keep the plot consistent. For now, Loke is actually back in the game, if any of you remember I eliminated him pretty early on. At this moment, I've given him an actual significance to the plot, so he's back in the fight!

How long has it been since Gray and I had that conversation? About two weeks have passed and nothing has really changed. He's gone back to his old coldness. But he still helps out with making dinner. Except we don't exchange any words besides cooking-related stuff.

But it's not like I can complain. He still joins us in the morning and treats me the same otherwise. Plus, some of the others have started to warm up as well! Surprisingly, Sting and Gajeel have started to talk to me more. It may have been because of Rogue, but it's still something!

"Yo. Blondie. You making dinner yet?" ...Speak of the devils... Sting plopped down right next to me on the couch.

With a roll of my eyes, I responded dully, "What does it look like, String Bean?"

"Hey, now, I'm just asking! I wanted to make a suggestion if you haven't." When I tell you this man could strike a nerve without even trying... seriously, how did Rogue put up with him? "Could you make this dish for us tonight?"

With no warning, he shoved his phone in my face. On his screen was the recipe for some fancy looking dish. But my eyes saw the ingredients and I immediately looked up at him as if he was crazy. "Filet Mignon? Scallops? Are you stupid or just that deranged?"

"But look at how good it looks, Blondie!"

"I know, dipshit. That's why it's sold at high class restaurants. If you could barely afford mac n' cheese, how the hell are we supposed to afford this?!"

"Well, maybe not me. But you can!"

"...I'm sorry, but what?"

"You're a Heartfilia, aren't you?" My heart sunk. Suddenly, I remembered that these guys didn't know what happened. They didn't know that my dad... "Oh... sorry. That slipped out... I didn't mean to..."

"No, you're all good. It's understandable that you thought that. But my dad left his inheritance to my Uncle, his younger brother. Since he passed when I was at my old academy, he didn't think I was fit at the time to take over... not like I wanted to anyway." I cleared my throat and put on the best smile I could. "And my uncle is just as greedy has him, so I only receive a monthly allowance."

In an instant, the atmosphere became very heavy. The boys that were once yelling at each other because of their game suddenly fell quiet. Well, not for too long at least. Gajeel snickered halfheartedly. "Damn. What an asshole you are, Sting."

"H-How was I supposed to know!? It's not like I did it on purpose!"

"Idiot. Do you even know of common sense?"

"Shut up, you metal head!"

"Make me, you blonde bimbo!"

And just like that, a fight broke out. Sting immediately hopped out of his spot and headbutted with the other. Thank god, because I don't think I could handle it. I was back to scrolling on my phone within minutes.
