Dorm S! ~Lucy Harem~

Save the Park! {Pt. 1}

Lucy POV

After getting back, school went on as usual. It's been a week since we got back to the academy. Today was a boring day. All of the guys got detention for being idiots and almost killing the whole school. Well, not Laxus. He was the only one not involved. Anyway, we just sat in the living room with awkward silence.

" So... what do you want to do?" I asked. He just stayed silent. in the next second, I was up in the air and Laxus was walking to his room.

" H-Hey!" I shouted, "Let me down!"

"..." He's ignoring me! Laxus walked into his room and closed the door. He put me down. Before I could yell at him, he slammed his hand next to my head and trapped me against the door.

" It may have been a week, but I haven't gotten over anything unlike the others," He growled. I started shaking. His eyes were narrowed and his face was tense. 

" L-La..." I couldn't speak. 

" Tell me. Why do you keep leaving?" He asked.

" I-I..." I was too scared to answer. I've seen him mad but that was when we were little and he wasn't grown up. Now that he is... he's scary.

" Answer me, dammit," He growled. Can't he see I'm scared? I was literally shaking under him. 

I opened my mouth to say something but nothing came out. I shut my mouth and gulped. He sighed and pushed off, releasing me. My legs gave in and I fell.

"..." None of us said anything.

" Sorry about that..." He then said.

" I.... It's fine..." I whispered.

" I'm just really p*ssed that you keep running away. And, now that you are leaving to train when those braces are off..." Laxus trailed off. He really is worried about me, isn't he... I sighed and got up, my strength coming back. I walked over to him quietly. When I reached him, I slowly started hugging him.

" Then.... I'm the one to blame..." I whispered. I felt his eyes widen and his body tense up.

" B-Blondie..." He choked. I let go and sat next to him.

"...." Silence took over us again until Laxus suddenly stood up.

" Where are you going?" I asked. He grabbed his jacket.

" Come on, Blondie," Was all he said. I sighed and got up to follow him. We walked out of the dorm. I locked the door and caught up to Laxus.

" Where are we going, Laxus?" I asked as we walked down the street.

" Somewhere we haven't been to in a while," He replied.

" Wow. How helpful," I rolled my eyes. As we walked along, I started looking around. I looked at Laxus. He kept a straight face. We entered a park that was abandoned.

" I came here a few months ago. No one ever came here anymore. It became filthy after a while," Laxus suddenly said.

" Wow," I said, still confused.

" Do you really not remember this place? It's where you and I met," With that, it clicked.

" This dirty place.... this was the beautiful park? The one we always hung out at?" I gasped as I looked around. He nodded.

" Soon, they're going to tear everything down and replace it with something else," Laxus said.

" But they can't do that!" I shouted.

" But they can. And they will. That's why I brought you here. So you can see this place again," Laxus said. I just walked over to the tree I met Laxus at. On it, words were carved. 

On (choose a date), Laxus Dreyar joined Lucy Heartfilia's group at this tree.

I still remember that day. Erza had taken her pocket knife and carved these words. And, after all this time, they were still here.

" It's today that you spat on my shoes," Laxus suddenly spoke. I nodded. We both went and sat on the swings in silence.

" What are we gonna do?" I asked.

" What do you mean? There's nothing we can do," He said. That's when an idea popped into my head. I jumped off the swing and looked at Laxus with a big, fat grin on my face. Laxus, knowing me for so long, sighed and got up. 

We started walking back home. I was explaining my idea to him. He was at first a bit hesitant but ended up agreeing. Once we got home, the others were in the living room. They instantly looked at us and were asking questions. Laxus and I walked into his room and started to sort out our plan.

NEXT DAY

Today is Saturday and I decided to go to the doctor today to see if I can take the braces off. It's been forever. But apparently, I have another 3 weeks! So, I can't really help with the plan.

" I'm sorry I can't help with the plan," I apologized to Laxus. He shook his head as he changed his shirt. For once, he isn't wearing his coat. He's even wearing a white shirt!

" You can still help. I'll just have to do most of the work," He said. We walked out to the living room. Everyone was hanging out. They were either playing video games, on their phones, or in a brawl. Laxus grabbed the tools and started making trips to load the truck. I grabbed a small cooler (by small, she means big). After filling it with water bottles and snacks, I gave it to Laxus, who came back just in time.

" Laxus and I are going to be gone all day! Don't tear this place down! Food is ready whenever you are hungry! Call us if something happens!" I shouted. After that, I heard dropping of controllers, silence, and questioning noises. Laxus and I left soon after and got into the truck.

" Are you sure this plan is going to work?" Laxus asked as he started driving.

" If we can just carry out the plan, we will surely save the park!" I exclaimed. Too many memories were made there. I can't just let them tear it down. 

Soon, we had arrived. While Laxus was unloading the truck, I got my sketchbook out and made a rough sketch of the plan. Realization hit me.

" Laxus! We have to go shopping!" I shouted. He stopped unloading and groaned.

" So, I unloaded the truck for nothing?!" He shouted at me. I nodded and giggled a little. He loaded everything up again and got into the driver's seat.

" We need to go to the Home Depot store. There, we buy three bags of soil, many flowers, metal bars, chains, anything that we might need," I said as I made a list.

TIMESKIP BECAUSE I'M TOO LAZY

" Alright! To the park!" I exclaimed as Laxus pushed the cart.

" Hate to burst your bubble, Blondie, but it's night time," I looked at the sky. He was right!

" Ugh! I thought we were going to make progress!" I groaned.

" Let's go, Blondie," He loaded everything in the truck as I got into the car. The car ride was silence.
