I didn't like this chapter so I changed it.

It had been a week since the bonfire and thankfully Lisa had became sober again, meaning our plans weren't ruined. She claimed she was going to stay sober this time, but she had said that every time.

"It's Disney time!" My mom exclaimed, orubbing her palms together in excitement. Last month my mom had bought us tickets to Disney land as a graduation present, along with a night in fancy hotel.

"Knock knock knock." My mom and Lisa sang in unison before bursting into mine and Alec's adjoining room. I rolled over in my bed to face them and smiled.

"Are you excited?" Lisa asked both of us, as I sat up in bed. Alec stayed under the covers, since he had just woken up from the nap he decided to take as soon as we got to the hotel. "Of course I'm excited are you crazy?" I laughed. Chuckling at my reply, Lisa ran towards me dived on top of me causing me to let out a loud shriek.

"Did you just call me crazy, huh?" She challenged tickling my ribs with her fingers. My whole body thrashed around my bed as I tried to tickle her back. After a tickle fight, Lisa had finally got off of me. "Get ready be-aches." She announced as her and my mom both left the room.

A gasp emitted my lips as we made our way into magic kingdom. Looking into the shop windows, I admired all the things I couldn't afford with a pout. When the castle came into view, excitement bubbled inside of me, causing me to grip my moms hand in excitement. "Let's take a picture with the castle." I cheered, my voice slightly too high pitched.

"Ok so here's a map." My mom said pulling out a map of the park and a pen, "lets circle everything we want to do, so we get everything done." She began to draw rings around the attractions as me and Alec began listing off everything we wanted to do.

"The buzz light year ride!"
"Haunted mansion."
"The monsters inc show."
"Space mountain."
"The dwarfs ride."
"Splash mountain."
"The treehouse oo."
"Thunder mountain."
"Can we please go on one kids ride! Oo and please can we stay tonight for the fireworks, I know it's a long night but please!"

"We can do anything we want." Mom assured me, I let out a squeal in excitement. I was beginning to annoy myself.

--

Giggling, I was watched my mom sway in her dizzy state as we got off of thunder mountain. "I think I'm getting a little too old for this." My moms chuckled. I rolled my eyes at her.

The thick crowds of people caught my attention, and suddenly what was happening clicked in my mind "The parade!" I gasped causing everyone to laugh at me. I felt like a child, but I didn't care.

Groaning, I stood on my toes, trying to see over the crows of people in front of us. I watched as a group of people got shouted at for standing on a wall and slumped my shoulders.

"Do you want to sit on my shoulders?" Alec asked noticing my upset nature. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Won't I be too heavy?" I questioned. Alec let out a chuckle. "Shut up Eliza you're tiny! This is your only chance," he sang "the parades starting." He bent at his knees slightly motioning for me to hop onto his shoulders.

With Alec's help I got on his shoulders just as the first float began to pass. Taking out my phone as snapped pictures of everything, humming along to the songs. I didn't care that I was 18 years old, I felt like the happiest girl in the world.

"What was your favourite ride?" I asked tapping Alec on the shoulder as we waited for the fireworks to start. Pulling out my phone I motioned for him to get in the picture "Um-" he paused as he posed for a selfie "I liked thunder mountain, but the buzz light year ride was cool too."

"Yeah same, hey you know what," I spoke, pausing as I got distracted with posting a picture of me and Alec onto Instagram "I heard that in Paris Space Mountain is like a big roller coaster that goes upside down and stuff." I finally told him. Maybe I didn't hear it and actually read about it one night when I was researching Disney parks, but he didn't need to know that. "Really?" He rose a brow "They should do that here." He exclaimed and I nodded in agreement.

"Will you get me some popcorn?" I changed the subject pouting my lips. Alec's face dropped as he starred at me in boredom. Pouting my lips further I blinked my eyes rapidly, before he let out a deep sigh and stood to his feet. A smirk spread across my face.

"I'm so happy." I cheered hopping onto my bed causing Alec to chuckle "Me too little nerd." He mumbled scrolling through his phone. I rolled my eyes.

"Your moms doing great too." I said ecstatically. Usually when she first sobered up she moped around for days. "Yeah but how long will it last." Alec replied gloomily.

"You know I don't know when, but I know one day your mom will recover, she's just got a lot of pain and she needs some guidance." I spoke my mind, while starring up at the ceiling.

Alec stayed silent for a few moments before speaking "But if hurting your child isn't enough to stop, what is?" He asked, pain radiating off of him. I walked over to his bed and sat next to him "Every time your mom stops she does it for you, she tries for you, but she's sick she needs help." I placed my hand on his shoulder and squeezed in gently, Alec shrugged pretending to be unfazed "But there's nothing we can do, she has to want to help herself." His voice cracked.

Without thinking, I wrapped my arms around him and pulled him into a hug, it was weird at first until he hugged me back. When we pulled apart,we looked at each other awkwardly. Standing to my feet I shuffled towards my bed and climbed in saying good night to Alec.

Just ask I was drifting off to sleep, a loud crack echoed through the sky and I jumped in my bed causing my heart to pound. Shuffling towards the window I looked outside seeing the rain thrashing down violently. A sudden crack of lightening caught my eye and I shrieked stumbling backwards, hitting the radiator with a bang. A storm in LA?

"What the fuck!" Alec whispered yelled.

"I-I'm sorry." I gulped standing awkwardly in the dark jumping every time I heard the lighting "Its- It's just the storm." My body shook in fear.

Alec sighed before I heard shuffling in his bed. "Get in." He spoke. "What?" I gasped, not being able to see if he was joking due to the lack of light in the room. "Eliza! Get in my bed so we can both go to sleep, I'm tired." He snapped. Such a gentleman.

Nodding even though he couldn't see me I made my way to his bed and slid in next to him, feeling his heat radiating on to me.

"Thank you." I whispered before turning onto my side facing away from him. Alec's made no effort to speak, but wrapped his arm wrapped around my waist, making me feel safe and finally able to fall asleep.

Some time in the middle of the night I woke up feeling a breathe against the back of neck, I groaned still half a sleep and pulled myself up...from the crook of Alec's neck. I sat up in surprise. What the hell? How had I found my way onto Alec's chest? Alex groaned before his eyes flickered open and looked at me in confusion, understandable since I was currently straddling his waist.

"What-"

"I'm sorry I woke up on your chest, I don't know what happened." I rushed climbing off his chest and laying back down facing away from him.
