Groaning as my alarm blared through the speakers I shut it off, and sat up on my sleeping bag.
"Why so early?" Alec mumbled in a deep morning voice that caused my heart to pound in my chest. "I- uh- I'm going to have a shower." I stuttered out rubbing the sleep out of my eyes. Looking over at Alec I watched as he nodded and took took a deep breath stretching in his sleeping bag before sitting up "I'll come."
"I'm not looking forward to this." I told Alec as we approached the public shower rooms, watching multiple people walk in and out of them. He smoothed his hand against my back "Me either, but it's better than nothing."
After getting out of the shower and getting myself dressed into a pair of light denim shorts and an off the shoulder white top I slid my feet into some brown swede ankle boots and left the shower room. I gasped as my body collided into something. My jaw hit the floor when I looked up to see Chris.
"You didn't tell me you were coming?" I told him in surprise, hiting him gently on the shoulder. Chris shrugged and gave me a hug "I guess I was hoping to surprise you, did you have fun last night?" He asked pulling away. How did he know he would run into me though?
I nodded shrugging off my thoughts "Yeah it was amazing."
"Eliza?" Alec called stepping around the corner, looking at Chris in surprise.
Silence filled the air around us as Chris and Alec starred at each other for a few moments. It was tense and I was scared that they were about to start beating each other up.
"You should hang out with us later El," Chris said glancing at me "I'll call you." he added as he stepped into the shower rooms. Turning back to look at me he smiled, and I returned it with a nod "Sure." I smiled watching as he disappeared into the shower room.
"What the hell is that jerk doing here?" Alec snapped as soon as he was gone. My face dropped and I rolled my eyes at him. "I guess him and his friends got tickets." I shrugged walking past him back to the tent.
"This is amazing!" Jess yelled over the music in excitement, grasping my hands and pulling me towards her. Laughing I danced with her, Olivia quickly joined in with us. I twirled in the air before feeling a arm against my back, looking behind me I saw Alec and smiled. With a grin I watched as him, Taylor and Keaton joined in with the dancing in the middle of the large crowd. The best part was that everyone was too busy enjoying themselves to judge anyone.
After spending another amazing day with my friends watching the performers, eating lots of food and having a few drinks my phone began to ring in my pocket.
"Hello." I said stepping away from my friends and placing a finger in my ear so I could hear better. "Hey babe, meet me at the right of the main stage?" Chris's voice spoke causing me to smile. Glancing at my friends, I took a moment to think about it before shrugging "Sure." I told him in excitement.
Pressing my finger over the mic, I ran back to my friends and explained to my friends what was happening, almost squealing in excitement. Alec as expected didn't seem too happy, but I didn't care.
"I can't see you." I whined looking around the right of the stage, for Chris's face. Suddenly a waving hand caught my attention and I smiled seeing Chris smile back at me. Putting the phone down, I made my way over to Chris and his friends and greeted them all.
"Did you just put the phone down on me?" Chris teased wrapping his arm around me and pinching my hip causing me to giggle.
"Ok, so then," Chris paused as he began laughing hysterically causing me to laugh too "Aidan," he said motioning to Aidan, "puts his face against the window and Mike screams like a little girl," I cringed at the saying "tries to run away and trips over everything in his path." I giggled at the story while Chris and his friends burst out laughing joking shoving Mike. I guess you had to be there.
My phone began ringing in my pocket causing me to jump. After excusing myself, I stepped away to answer it.
"Where are you?" Alec snapped as soon as I accepted the call.
"I told you I'm with Chris."
"Yeah well it's been two hours and we're going back to the tent."
Keaton and Taylor were arguing over who was the best performer of the night in the background of the call. "Is that Eliza tell her I miss her!" Olivia yelled in the background causing me to laugh.
"Where are you?" Alec yells again.
"I'll ask Chris to walk me back, chill out." I snapped ending the call.
"Are you sure you don't want to hang out longer?" Chris asked sweetly with a slight pout as we came to a stop in front of my tent. Smiling at him I shook my head "I'm tired." I told him, a yawn escaped my lips emphasising my statement. Licking his lips he nodded and pulled me against his chest "I'll see you tomorrow?" He smiled running his hand down my back. Shrugging, I smirked "Maybe."
Chris laughed before he pressed his lips against mine, I smiled into the kiss. Seconds later I pulled away knowing Alec was in the tent next to us.
"See you." I smiled with a wave watching him walk away giving me a slight wave in return.
Alec didn't speak when I got into the tent, he just pretended he was asleep, but I knew he was awake. Deciding to ignore him back I got myself ready for bed in silence.
Although I would miss Coachella, I couldn't say I was going to miss sleeping in a tent.
