It had been a week since I had seen Alec, and I hadn't left my house once. My friends were becoming worried, and my mom constantly bugged me about going out and having fun. It had occurred to me that I didn't have the right to be so angry, me and Alec weren't official, sure we kissed a few times but we weren't dating.

A knock on my door broke my train of thought. Looking up I watched my friends cautiously walking into my room, before sitting around me on my bed. Sitting up, I rested my back against the headboard and smiled at them. They all looked at me in silence as though I would break if they spoke.

"Are you okay?" Olivia broke the silence placing my hand in hers. I nodded too afraid to speak. Olivia's eyes lingered on me "Its okay to not be okay." She assured me. I felt tears build up with her words but I held it in, I had cried enough over a boy who didn't care about me. He didn't deserve any more tears.

Letting out a sigh I shrugged "I just," I blew out a breath as I felt myself getting emotional "I feel like he doesn't even care about me." My voice cracked as a tear slipped down my cheek, I wiped it away quickly, willing myself not to cry. "He won't reply to me, he just left out of the blue."

Resting a hand on my knee Keaton shrugged "We care about you, and what could be better than that?" He said with a pout, leaning in close to me he whispered "Of course I'm the best." He winked. I smiled at him letting out a slight chuckle. Keaton could always make me laugh.

"Why don't we do something, to get your mind off of it? This isn't healthy." Jess cut in, a sad smile spread across her face. Running my hands over my face, I sighed letting out a slight chuckle. "Yeah, I guess I probably should." I had been avoiding it for so long, but seeing my friends made me realise how much I missed them. Sitting alone and dwelling in my sadness was only making it worse, I would never be able to move on.

After spending an hour with my friends, I slowly began to feel more like myself again. "We'll call you to do something." Olivia said standing to her feet, everyone else following her actions. Smiling, I nodded "Sure."

Everyone hugged me and began shuffling out of the room, Taylor stayed behind, lingering at door way. He looked torn, he opened and closed his mouth a few times unsure of whether to speak.

"What's up?"

He scratched the back of his neck awkwardly and smiled. "Um," he moved towards me and took a seat back on the bed fumbling awkwardly with his hands, I smiled at him. "I don't know if the timing is bad, but I was wondering if you wanted to go out, y-you know just me and you?" A blush spread across his cheeks causing my heart to warm.

"Like a date?" I blurted out instantly regretting it. Taylor nodded sheeply, his blush deepening.

Chewing on my lip, I debated whether or not I should go on the date. Thoughts of Alec penetrated my mind. Shaking my head I shrugged and nodded, Alec clearly didn't like me so why shouldn't I?

"Sure." I smiled at Taylor, watching a big smile spread across his face. Taylor was a sweet guy, and I couldn't deny that he was attractive, maybe the date would be a good thing.

"Okay," he rushed standing to his feet making me chuckle "Is tonight at 7 ok?" I was shocked at how sudden it was but eventually I nodded with a smile, waving at him as he left.

Picking up my phone I immediately texted Jess and Olivia the news.

"You look so hot!" Jess screeched, as I checked myself out in the mirror. My matching black two piece hugged my hips perfectly, giving me an hour glass figure, I smiled happily.

"Is that Ruby roo?" Olivia asked pointing to my lipstick, I nodded. "Ugh, it looks better on you." She stomped her foot lightly on the floor. Rolling my eyes, I shook my head "You know it looks great on you." Olivia shrugged and flipped her hair smiling at me, causing me to burst out laughing.

The sound of the door bell echoed through the house, we all looked at each other in shock. Grabbing my phone I checked the time to see it was 7. Throwing my phone along with other essentials in my bag, I slipped my heels on, while Olivia played with my hair to perfect it.

"Hairspray!" Olivia commanded before blasting it onto my hair. Coughing, I waved my hand around. "Perfume." She added spritzing my perfume on. I jumped in shock.

"She needs to go!" Jess whined, as my mom shouted my name from downstairs. "I'm going, I'm going." I opened the door, saying a quick goodbye to them before leaving my room and descending down the stairs.

Taylor came into view as I neared the bottom of the stairs, he looked hot in his black jeans and white dress shirt, the top few buttons were open giving me a view of his chest. I could see my mom smirking at me from the corner of my eye, I rolled my eyes at her thanking her when she told me to have fun.

"You look beautiful." Taylor told me as he helped me into his car. Thanking him, I waited until he took his seat "You don't look too bad yourself." I replied watching a blush spread across his cheeks.

"This is so pretty!" I gasped as me and Taylor took our seats in the restaurant. The lights were dim, and fairy lights were dotted throughout the restaurant, giving the whole place a romantic vibe. We orders two cokes as the waiter handed us our menus.

"Do you know what you're getting?" I asked Taylor, scanning the menu with my eyes. My eyes looked up at him seeing him shake his head, deep in thought, "Definitely not shrimp." He finally spoke causing me to burst out laughing.

Last year we all went to a party and Taylor ate a lot of shrimp, and let's just say it didn't end well. Holding a hand over my chest, I took a deep breath to stop myself from laugh "I'm sorry it wasn't funny." I laughed again. Taylor laughed "It was."

"So do you know which college you're going to?" I asked Taylor as I cut up my steak, Taylor was so smart he got into almost every college he applied for. He shrugged swallowing the food in his mouth "Honestly, I think I'm going to stay and go to UCLA." A smile spread across my face "That's good, we'll still be able to see each other."

A big smile spread across his face as he looked deep into my eyes "My mom cried when I got into NYU." He said finally breaking eye contact, a giggle escaped my throat "She did not!" I gasped. Taylor nodded, also laughing "She says she was proud, but I think she was scared of me moving away." He chuckled causing me to laugh too. "That's cute."

"Can we split the bill?" I begged Taylor, watching as he placed his money down and shook his head. When guys paid for me I always felt bad, I can handle myself "I'll pay next time." I told him pointing my finger at him, watching as a smile spread across his face as he nodded.

"We're going bowling!" I gasped at Taylor as he stopped in front of the local bowling alley, I was expecting to go straight home "I'm not dressed for this." My eyes flickered down to my outfit. Undoing his seat belt, Taylor shrugged "Me either, I just thought of it."

"These shoes are so ugly." Snapping a picture on my phone, I laughed at the bowling shoes on mine and Taylor's feet. I posted the picture on Instagram, tagging Taylor in it.

Screaming, I slipped almost falling flat on the floor, but Taylor caught me. Holding a hand to my chest I let out a sigh of relief thanking him, before we both burst out laughing.

Both of us were terrible at bowling, our scores were embarrassing. Taylor had managed to win, but I was probably the only person he could beat.

"Thank you for tonight, I had a great time." I spoke as Taylor walked me to my door. I pulled his jacket off my body and gave it to him, he had wrapped it around my when I complained that I was cold. Accepting it off me he smiled "Me too, maybe we can do it again?" He asked hope laced in his voice. I nodded thinking about how great the night was, and how much I had loved spending time with Taylor, it was nice having actual conversations with him since usually he was so shy.

Before I knew what was happening Taylor's lips were pressed against mine and he was kissing me, I gasped in shock when he pulled away, and smiled awkwardly at him. "Until next time?" He smiled taking a step away from me, I nodded "Next time."

Worry filled my mind as I watched Taylor walk away before stepping into my house. It wasn't the same.
