Thirteen

"Guys lets go to the beach!" Keaton exclaimed holding his hands in the air to block the sun from his eyes. Olivia glanced around at us all before looking at Keaton in confusion "Why the hell do we need to go to the beach when we're sitting by a pool?"

Slumping his shoulders Keaton sighed "I want an ice cream." He pouted. Olivia stretched her legs out on her sun lounger "Can't you get one another day." She whined.

"I kind of want one too." Jess blurted out earning a smile and a high five from Keaton. "Please please please.." Keaton begged looking around at us all.

"I'm down." I shrugged taking a sip of my drink before placing it on the table. "Same." Alec mumbled from his seat next to me. "Whatever." Taylor added. Everyone's eyes shifted to Olivia who rolled her eyes before standing to her feet "Fine, lets go." She groaned causing me to chuckle.

After putting my denim shorts and grey crop top on over my bikini, I tapped my foot against the ground impatiently waiting for my friends to get ready. I always found myself waiting for them.

"Guys it's so hot!" Olivia groaned slumping her shoulders as we walked to the beach "we should've just used two cars." Keaton gasped and pushed her gently causing her to fall off the kerb "Then we wouldn't be together."

Joy bursted within me as I licked my strawberry ice cream cone while we sat on the beach. The sound of the waves, the feeling of the sun heating my skin, and the soft sand beneath me felt amazing. My eyes flickered upwards catching Alec starring intently at me with a dark look in his eyes as I licked my cone. Gasping I looked away feeling my face heat up into a blush.

"Jess!" I shrieked feeling the salty water splash over me as we paddled in the ocean. Jess giggled in reply sticking her tongue out at me, causing me to roll my eyes in reply and splash her back.

Turning around, I grinned watching Alec and Keaton being idiots trying to drown each other in the ocean. Taylor refused to come in the water, deciding to stay on the beach alone, ever since earlier he had been acting strange.

"Hey beautiful lady." a voice whispered in my ear, a strong pair of hands wrapping around my waist. A heavy weight dropped into my chest as my whole body set into panic.

Pushing his hands away from me, I snapped my body around seeing Chris looking at me in shock. "What-"

"Get away from her!" Alec suddenly yelled storming through the water towards me and Chris. The water splashed in the air with the force of his feet as he moved towards us in anger.

"Alec please."

"Alec."

"Stop!" I screamed as Alec came face to face with Chris, looking ready to beat the shit out of him. Alec looked at me for a second, letting me see the rage that filled his eyes.

"What the fuck!" Chris spat pushing Alec causing him to stumble backwards. My eyes widened. Oh no. Please no.

After composing himself Alec bounded towards Chris with his fists clenched, a lumped formed in my throat, I felt like I was going be sick. His fist raised in the air and my stomach flipped "Did you just-"

"Woah." Keaton interrupted wrapping his arms around Alec's back and pulling him backwards, preventing him from punching Chris in the face. The weight began to lift from my chest, I placed my hand against it sighing in relief. Alec struggled against Keaton shooting daggers at Chris, before eventually giving up and taking a few deep breaths to calm himself down.

Chris smirked at Alec, before turning to me "El-"

"Please leave." I spoke quietly my voice void of emotion. When he opened his mouth to speak, I help up my hand to silence him. "I'm sure you have some other girl you can talk to." I gave him a knowing look.

Chris looked at me like a deer caught in the headlights, I smirked watching as his mouth opened and closed in shock before he eventually shrugged at me. "Whatever." He stomped away without another word, the water splashing around him as he did.

"If you come near her again I will beat the shit out of you!" Alec yelled as we watched his lean body retreat back to the shore.

"Hey mom we're home!" I yelled as me and Alec stepped into the house. "Did you have fun?" Dark brown hair flipped over the back of the sofa as she leaned backwards so she could see us through the open door of the living room, Lisa smiled at us from the armchair. "Yeah, but I'm so tired." I complained, earning a chuckle in reply.

In complete exhaustion I pulled myself up the stairs and made my way into my room. All I wanted to do was sleep, but I needed to shower since my whole body was covered in sand.

"Hey."

Jumping I dropped my hairbrush seeing Alec stood at the door laughing at me. Turning around he closed the door, and made his way across my room flinging himself on my bed like a starfish.

Picking up my hairbrush I put it back in its place, then made my way to my bed sitting at Alec's feet. His body sprung up to a sitting position when I sat down.

"I'm sorry about how I acted with Chris, I just hate him." His legs crossed as he began drawing patterns on my comforter with his finger. My eyes followed his fingers and I smiled "Its fine it was kind of h-err it was you know...nice."

Brown eyes, laced with mischief, locked onto my own "It was what?" Alec held a hand to his ear and leaning towards to me. Looking down at my lap in embarrassment I shrugged "Nice" I whispered.

Suddenly my whole body was pulled forwards so I was sitting directly in front of Alec, our knees touching. "What were you going to say?" He teased with a smirk, tilting his head to the side. Shaking my head, I shrugged "Nothing."

Casting my eyes down, I distracted myself from looking at Alec's smile by drawing shapes on my bed. "Hmm," Alec hummed catching my attention, he pressed his hand against mine so it was trapped against the bed "Are you sure babe?" He leaned forward, his breath fanning against my skin. My breath hitched in my throat. "Umm-I.. Yeah." I tried to answer his question, though I wasn't sure what he said.

All my attention was focussed on Alec's other hand stroking the inside of my thigh in soft motions as his minty breath fanned against my lips. The corners of his lips lifted into another smirk as he watched the effect he had on me "You sure?" His lips grazed mine causing my eyes to flutter shut for a second. "No." I breathed out with an irritated moan, pressing my lips against Alec's.

Smiling into the kiss, Alec gripped my waist pulling me into his lap. My insides erupted when I felt his tongue against my own. Biting my lip, Alec pulled away dragging my lip out causing me to groan.

"Why," I kissed Alec again my voice breathy, "why do we keep doing this?" I rushed, kissing him again. Alec's hand slid up my back into my hair before settling on my cheek, his other stroking the top of my thigh gently. I let out a moan. "Shit!" He groaned "because it feels good." Flipping me over, so I was laid on my back, he settled himself above me and smiled a beautiful smile.

"We probably shouldn't though." I whimpered leaning my head back as Alec peppered kisses across my neck. "Fuck!" I cursed as he sucked on the skin beneath my jawline "Our parents would be so mad." My eyes fluttered closed as he pressed his lips against mine. Pulling away slightly, Alec looked down at me, resting his weight on his arms beside me "Fuck everyone else."
