"College letters came in the mail today!" My mom announced making her way into the living room. My heart began beating so fast as she handed me and Alec our letters.

Ripping open the the letter, I began reading it and taking in all the words. Jumping in the air, I let out a scream "I got in, I'm going to UCLA!" I cheered.

After me and my mom shared a hug we glanced at Alec seeing him still scanning through his letters. "Me too!" He exclaimed as he jumped to his feet, pulling the three of us into a group hug.

"I can't believe you guys are going on a collage campus tour!" My mom exclaimed in shock "My babies are growing up." Her voice was full of sadness.

Chuckling at my mom as me and Alec got out of the car, I smiled assuring her we'd always be her babies and kissed her through the open window "At least we're not moving state." I told her.

"Call me if you need anything." Mom said after we said our final goodbyes.

UCLA was everything I dreamed of and more, I had already fell in love with it. For some annoying reason the universe decided me and Alec were destined to have similar careers, I wanted to be a music producer and Alec wanted to a singer. Even more annoyingly we wanted to attend the same college, as if sharing a house wasn't enough.

After having a tour of the campus, we got to go to a short class, and it was amazing. I knew instantly I was taking the right career path.

"Hey, where are you from?" A deep voice asked as I exited class, I looked beside me to see a boy with brow curly hair and stunning brown eyes. He was beautiful.

I blushed slightly "Oh, I'm from...here."

"Me too. I never seen your pretty face around before, I would've remembered you." He said with a wink and I blushed slightly although it was corny and dumb since LA is huge.

I pointed it out to him with a giggle, smiling when an adorable laugh left his throat. He held his hand up "Ok, you got me, I just wanted an excuse to compliment you." He winked again. I rolled my eyes jokingly and let out a laugh.

"So I know we just met, but bunch of people are going to a bar tonight, do you want to come?" He asked me. "Like a party?" I questioned furrowing my brows. He nodded enthusiastically "Nothing too extreme though, it'll be more laid back." I shrugged and nodded accepting his offer, because, well, he was hot.

I began internally scolding myself when I realised what I had done, I didn't even know him!

"What's you're name?" He smiled at me, pulling me out of my thoughts, as we made our way out of the building. "Eliza, you?" I told him shyly. "Chris, it's nice to meet you Eliza." Chris told me, grasping my hand and placing a kiss on it, I blushed again.

As we stepped outside the building Chris handed me his phone telling me to put my number in so he could text me the details of the bar. I couldn't stop laughing at Chris's jokes as I typed in my number. His bubbly personality and kind ways instantly made me feel better about agreeing to meet him.

"Eliza." I heard looking beside me to see Alec walking towards us with a confused expression on his face.

"Who's this?" Chris questioned as Alec neared us. Looking at Alec unsure of what to say, I shrugged. "Um, he's my friend." I told Chris who nodded while he eyed Alec sceptically.

There was an awkward silence for a few moments before Chris took a step back "Well I'll see you later." Chris said pulling m into a hug then walking away.

"Who was that?" Alec questioned the second Chris stepped away. After I watched him leave, I turned to face Alec. "He's a guy from my class, he invited me to a party in some bar later." I shrugged.

"You're going on a date with a jerk like that?" Alec gasped. I rolled my eyes "You don't even know him! And who said it was a date?" I rose my brow at him. "Please," he laughed "I saw the way he looked at you, he thinks it's a date." Alec spoke like a know it all, I rolled my eyes at him.

--

"Are you actually going on this date?" Alec asked again as I finished off getting ready. This was the third time. I rolled my eyes as I checked myself out in the mirror, fixing my black body con dress.

"It's a party!"

"Well if it's a party, I'm coming!" Alec blurted out, inviting himself.

An hour later I walked into the bar, with a grumpy looking Alec at my side. Scanning the room, I focused my eyes on Chris, waving at him in excitement.

"I'm getting a drink." Alec groaned walking away. I chuckled at the way it sounded, knowing he would get a coke since he doesn't drink.

"Hey beautiful lady." He greeted me with a hug, before introducing me to a few of his friends. There were so many of them I didn't even bother to pay attention because I knew I wouldn't remember their names, I just smiled and nodded. A few of them asked my about my hand but I just brushed them off assuring them it was just an accident.

Chris was hilarious and his friends were so fun, I sat with them for hours talking and laughing, I even surprisingly learnt a few names.

At 11 an angry looking Alec stormed over demanding Chris to get his arm off of me because it was time for us to go home.

Chris rose a brow in a challenging manner tightening his arm around my shoulder "Why don't you just go?" Anger rose onto Alec's face, and his fists clenched at his sides. As he opened his mouth to say something I jumped out of Chris's grip, placing my hand on Alec's chest pleading him to stop with my eyes. I did not want a confrontation to happen. "I have to go too." I spoke looking into Alec's eyes watching as they softened and his anger dulled, before turning to look at Chris and giving him a reassuring smile.

"Did you have fun?" Alec asked me grumpily as he drove me home. I nodded gushing in excitement "Yes, Chris is so amazing." Alec nodded "I'm sure." He spoke in an emotionless voice. "You know you didn't have to come!" I snapped at him, annoyed at the way he was acting. I hadn't forced him to come. "Why did you come if you clearly didn't want to?" I flung my arms in the air. Alec was acting like a child and he was getting on my last nerve. "Maybe I wanted to make sure you were ok!" Alec snapped.

It was silent for the rest of the ride. Alec's jaw was clenched and his knuckles were white as he squeezed the steering wheel with anger.

He wanted to make sure I was ok.
