JACE POV!!!!

She pulled that gun out on me and my stomach dropped. She had been manipulated. She pulled that trigger twice and both times nothing happened. I was terrified honestly. She told me that she was sorry and not to let them hurt her. She had dropped the gun and ran to me. I held her tightly before having to let her go. She ran but her dad had started beating on her. Thankfully I was able to get to her before it got really bad. I picked her up and she sobbed into my shoulder. I just held her. She apologized all the way home and I know she meant it. I kept telling her that it was ok but she wouldn't listen. She cried all the way home and all I really could do was hold her.

We finally got there and I picked her up. She was sound asleep. I walked inside and up to my room. I set her on the bed and turned on the small light. I carefully undressed her and put her in comfy clothes. I then tossed the others away so she wouldn't have to go back to this night and the couple others like it.

I crawled next to her and brought her body against mine. She was like ice. She turned her head and looked at me.

"Jace," she whispered faintly, "I love you."

"I love you too princess," I smiled.

I gently kissed her and she turned back over. I smiled as her heart beat slowed back down. She was back in my arms and that's all that mattered. She was back and safe..with ME.

LOLA POV!!!!

I woke up still in his arms. I slowly moved his hand and stood up. Pain shot throughout my body but I managed. I made my way to the bathroom and looked at myself. There was a big purple bruise that had shades of blue on my jaw line. My lip was cracked and had dried blood all around it. I rinsed it off and gently splashed cold water all over. It felt good. I lifted the shirt to see bruises everywhere. Not an inch of tan skin was showing, only bruises.

I let the shirt fall and I walked to the kitchen. I grabbed a glass of orange juice and started making breakfast. A few moments later someone had their arms around my waist. I jumped and they laughed. I knew that laugh.

"Hey princess," he whispered.

His sleepy voice was so cute.

"Goodmorning," I smiled.

He really just stood there the entire time. His hands on my waist and chin resting on my head. When food was done I grabbed two plates and made his and mine. We ate.

"How are you?" He asked, "like how do you feel."

"I'm ok," I nodded, "sore but I'm alright."

"Let me see your stomach," he said.

I stood and lifted the shirt. His jaw nearly dropped.

"Are you sure you're ok?" He asked.

I nodded and continued eating.

"It's not as bad as it looks," I shrugged.

"Then touch your toes," he said.

"No that'll hurt," I shook.

"Exactly," he said, "if anything it's worse than how it looks."

"But," I smiled, "I'm ok."

He shrugged, "whatever you say."

"Jace," I sighed, "what pills did you try taking?"

He looked down and shook his head, "I don't want to talk about it. You're here now and you're safe."

"No!" I snapped, "what did you try to take?"

"Aspirin," he shook, "but I am ok."

"But you could be dead!" Tears came to my eyes, "you could be lying on that couch dead! I could still be with my dad dreading the moment that I would have to kill you. I could be sitting with them and listening to them laugh about you dying. The boy that I love could be right there dead!"

He was in shock at everything I had just said. His brown eyes had sadness and worry in them. The tears feel down my cheeks and I couldn't take it. I had a breakdown.

"You could be gone Jace," I cried, "I would never see you again and if I had the chance to it would be at your funeral."

He stood up and walked over to me. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. I cried into his shoulder.

"I'm ok," he whispered, "I'm right here Lola. I'm right here."

I had wrapped my arms around him and kept him there.

"But you could be gone," I shook.

"But I'm not," he said, "I'm right in front of you. I'm right here."

"Don't ever leave Jace," I cried.

"Never," he shook, "never. I promise."

He rubbed my back and we stayed like that for a while. He pulled away and kissed my forehead. He wiped away my tears and cleaned the dishes. I walked back upstairs and into the bathroom. I decided to take a shower. I turned on the water and there was a knock.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Can I join?" He asked.

"Um," I shook, "I..I guess."

"I don't have to," he said.

"No it's ok," I said.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"Yeah I'm sure," I nodded.

He walked in and took off his clothes before coming in next to me. He looked at my stomach and my collar bone where my bruises laid. He set his hand over them and looked at me.

"I'm so sorry," he shook.

"Don't be sorry," I looked at him, "I'm ok."
