THREE MONTHS LATER!!!!
Me and Jace aren't together anymore. I'm back with my mom. We got into a fight. I was able to hold back, but he wasn't. I left.
I'm back at school. Me and my mom don't really talk. I buy my own food and stuff. I do what I want to. I'm back to playing soccer, softball, and basketball. I have a full schedule. Chelsea and Gale are still together. They are as cute as can be.
I woke up. My mom had met a new guy a while ago. They are going strong and they're happy. He actually acknowledges me more than she does.
I walked down the stairs and out the door. I started my car and drove to school. I got to my locker and Jace was standing there.
"Lola," he said.
"No," I said, "leave me alone."
I grabbed my things and closed the door. Everyone looks at us.
"Take a fucking picture!" I snapped.
They all turned back around and I walked off. Prom was coming up. I won't be going.
I walked to my first hour and sat down. The girls looked at me but kept their mouth shut. Jace walked in and I stood up. I moved to a different seat and laid my head down.
Jace- please will you listen to me
Me- fuck you Jace. Leave me alone.
Jace- God dammit Lola I'm fucking sorry!!
Me- sorry isn't going to fix it.
Jace- then what will?
Me- nothing. Leave me alone.
Jace- Lola.....please
I ignored it and put my phone away. I was done. I couldn't do it anymore.
Chelsea- meet me in rooftop garden after this class
Me- will do
Chelsea- I'm bringing a friend. His name is Andy.
Me- why?
Chelsea- trust me. He's a new kid.
I rolled my eyes and waited for class to be over. When the bell rang I walked out and up to the rooftop. I took out a cigarette and lit it. I heard the door open and saw Chelsea walking with the boy.
He was tall. His hair was dark brown and he had bright blue eyes. His smile was perfect.
"This is Lola," Chelsea smiled.
"Oh so you're the bad girl around here huh?" He smiled
"Word spreads fast," I stood up.
He kissed the top of my hand, "pleasure to meet you."
He had a British accent. So damn cute.
"And your name is?" I smiled.
"My mistake," he said, "my name is Andy. Andy Alton."
"Well nice to meet you," I smiled.
"You know," he shrugged, "you shouldn't smoke. You're too pretty for it."
"I'll let you guys talk," Chelsea smiled, "talk to you later."
I watched her wink and smile. She ran off as the late bell went off.
"Well thank you," I nodded, "but smoking is like an outlet."
"For what?" He asked, "if you don't mind me asking."
"I've got a weird past," I nodded, "a lot of stuff has happened. I hair got out of a relationship about a month or so ago. He just snapped one day and well...I left. What was both done and said was just not good."
"I'm sorry to hear that," he looked down.
"Not your fault," I exhaled, "anyways, what brought you here?"
"My mum got a job here in America," he shrugged, "we came from England. My pa passed away when I was little. A fire burned down his office and he wasn't able to get out."
"Awe," I sighed, "I'm so sorry."
"Nah," he smiled, "don't be."
"My dad is in jail," I shook, "let's just say he tried to kill me and my boyfriend at the time."
His eyes widened, "oh my gawd. Are you ok?"
"Yeah," I nodded, "a couple bullet wounds and scars but you know. I'm alright."
He shook his head, "that's insane. You're like a living miracle."
"I wouldn't go that far," I laughed, "more like a walking p.o.s. that was put here to fuck things up."
"Now that isn't true," he shook.
"You don't know me," I looked at the ground.
He set his finger under my chin and made me look into his eyes. They melted my heart. It was like a kid in a candy store. So amazing and filled with joy.
"I know I don't know you," he smiled, "but just your eyes tell me that you're not what you said. You're eyes show a completely different person. Caring and funny. A mean side but a tender and sensitive heart."
"If that's how you see me," I laughed.
"Thats exactly how I see you," he smirked.
I lit another cigarette and pressed it to my lips. I took a deep drag.
"Did your ex ever hurt you?" He asked.
"Many times," I nodded, "but then again he saved me many times. I've saved him as well. Just there was stuff that went on under the radar. Stuff I'd rather not talk about."
"I understand that," he nodded, "that's ok."
"Thanks," I exhaled.
He nodded once more. I looked down at his hands. His fingers fidgeted and he ran them through his hair. He took out his phone.
"May I have your number?" He asked.
I gave him my number and he texted me.
Unknown number- hey, it's Andy
Me- I'm Lola lol
He laughed and I saved his number. He saved mine and we just say and talked. He was so interesting. I could listen to him for hours. I forgot what it felt like to be happy. This was amazing.
