JACE POV!!!!
The days went by. She's called so many times. I wish I could answer her. It's now been six days since they were here. I'm so damn hungry and thirsty..I technically haven't eaten in eight days.
I heard my front door open and my heart started racing.
"Jace?" She asked.
I tried to yell but it wasn't very loud due to the tape.
"Jace?" She got a little louder, "please answer me."
My door opened and she stopped. She ran over to me and took the tape away.
"I'm so sorry," she cried, "I should have come sooner."
"Shh," I whispered, "it's ok."
She untied my hands and ankles. I slowly sat up and she looked at me.
"Are you ok?" She asked.
I shrugged, "a little."
I stuck my arms out and she looked down. I put my arms down. I felt terrible. She stood up and hugged me. I wrapped my arms around her. She started crying into my shoulder. I ran my fingers through her hair.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"My moms dead," she cried, "her husband killed her. She's dead. And then you..Jace you could easily be dead. Look at you and how you were."
"Oh shit," I sighed, "I'm sorry Lola."
She closed the space between us slowly and kept her arms around me.
"Hey look at me," I whispered, "look at me."
She came up from my shoulder and her eyes met mine.
"Everything will be ok," I nodded, "I promise."
She nodded and I wiped the tears from her eyes.
"You called right after they left," I said.
"Who?" She asked.
"Well," I looked down, "Kent and Andy. They brought four bigger guys. They beat the hell out of me and tied me up and left."
"Lay down," she ordered.
I slowly laid down and she lifted up my shirt. She gasped and looked at me.
"That's not ok," she shook.
I closed my eyes, "that isn't but I am."
She rolled her eyes and looked at me, "Jace seriously."
I smiled and slowly sat back up. I went to stand but it was hard to. She gently pulled me back down.
"Don't get up," she shook, "what do you want?"
"I'm starving," I said.
"I'll be back ok?" She nodded, "just stay here."
"You don't have to," I closed my eyes, "I can do it later."
She rolled her eyes and stood up. I watched her walk out.
She actually came. She came here to see if I was ok. Above all people, me. I held her in my arms for probably the last night in a long time. I calmed her down as she did with me. She was here and actually talking to me. I couldn't ask for anything more.
The time went by and she came back up. She had made me like a meal. She handed it to me.
"Thank you," I said.
"You're welcome," she nodded.
"Lola," I looked down, "what made you come here?"
"Because I know you," she said, "you would have answered me immediately. Days went by and I knew there had to be something wrong. I found out my mom passed about five days ago. Aaron didn't really seem to care."
"His dad's out," I sighed, "just be careful."
"Well about that," I said.
I looked up at her quickly, "what happened."
"Me and him went on a date," ar explained, "we got to his house and heard yelling. We walked in and his dad was there. He was beating on his mom and Aaron tackled him. I told his mom to go to my house. She did. I ran to Aaron and out of instinct and self protection he slapped me. He-
"He slapped you!" I raised my voice.
"Jace it's ok. Just listen," she said, "he freaked out afterwards. Apologizing and all that. I told him that it was ok. It was an accident. His dad stood up and pulled out a gun. I stepped in front of Aaron and was able to console him. He dropped it and I was able to keep him contained until police got there."
"Are you ok?" I wondered
"Yes," she nodded, "I am ok."
"So you took over?" I asked, "you stepped in front of that gun?"
She nodded once more, "yup."
"God damn it," I sighed, "Lola you could have been shot."
"But I wasn't," she shook.
I looked at her and kept my eyes locked on hers. I looked away first and just ate slowly. She stood up.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"You're busy," she said, "so I was just leaving."
"Please don't," I shook, "please."
She sat back down and just made small talk with me. It was nice talking to her again. She actually knew that I was in trouble.
