The bad boy saved me

Chapter 8

I woke up the next morning and looked around.

Where was he?

"Jace?" I asked.

There was no answer. I heard shuffling everywhere downstairs and stood up. I stretched and opened the door. It was a little foggy. I went down the stairs and saw Chelsea. I walked out as she laughed. Jace was on the floor in a puddle of blood. I hit the ground with my knees and started crying. I stood back up and saw Gale with the gun. I ran to Chelsea and hit her jaw.

"You fucking bitch!" I screamed, "he's gonna die because of you!"

I hit more and more before her eyes completely shut. I looked at Gale who had the gun. He looked at Chelsea who was on the ground.

"You bitch!" He screamed.

He put the gun to Jaces head.

"No!" I screamed.

BANG!

"Jace!" I screamed, "Jace no!"

"Lola!" I heard, "Lola hey I'm here. I'm here it's ok."

I shot up screaming and in tears. My eyes connected with Jace and I realized it was just a dream. I got up and ran down the stairs. Nothing. Gale and Chelsea weren't even there. Jace ran down and turned me around.

"Hey," he whispered, "look at me. I'm here. I'm right here."

I wrapped my arms around him. He walked over to the couch and sat down. I sat on his lap.

"What happened?" He asked.

"I woke up and you weren't there," I shook, "I heard someone downstairs so I walked out slowly and saw Chelsea. I ran down the stairs and stopped when I saw you. You were on the ground in the kitchen in a puddle of blood. Gale had a gun and I hit Chelsea. I yelled at her and hit here multiple times. Gale yelled no and shot you in the back of the head and I yelled your name and that's when you woke me up."

My hands were shaking, hell my entire body was shaking. He wiped the tears that started to fall.

"Well I'm here ok?" He smiled, "I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere princess."

I nodded and he pressed his lips to my forehead. I closed my eyes and smiled. He's the one thing that makes everything ok.

JACE POV!!!!

I had woken her up from a bad dream. She was scaring the hell out of me. It was only 3:35 in the morning when her scream woke me up. I didn't know what to do at first but she had started balling her fists and then she screamed my name. Something was wrong so I woke her up. She had ran down the stairs and I followed her. She looked in the kitchen and I turned her. She wrapped her arms around me and cried into my shoulder. I had her tell me what had happened.

"Let's go back to bed ok?" I asked, "it's almost 4."

She nodded and I carried her upstairs. I laid her in bed and covered her up. I walked into the bathroom and grabbed the razor out of the drawer. I looked at my wrist and moved the few bracelets that my parents had gotten me when I was little. I pressed it to my skin and slid it.

"I can't believe I put her in danger," I whispered, "God I fucking hate myself. Because of me she's laying there hurt. Because of me she's wondering what'll happen-

"Jace!" She snapped, "what are you doing?"

I looked at her and she ran over to me. She took it out of my hand and threw it in the toilet. She grabbed my hand and cleaned off the blood that was dripping into the sink.

"What the hell?" She asked, "no more Jace. I'm not in danger because of you. I'm safe and sound because of you."

I looked at her and closed my eyes, "I'm sorry."

She shook, "don't be. Where'd you get it?"

I opened the drawer that I had gotten the razor from. She took out the three others in there and threw those away. That was a stress reliever.

"Let's go," she said, "now."

I knew I had made her upset with me. The tone of her voice said it all. I laid down and she laid down next to me. She curled up in a ball next to me. Her hands laid on my chest and I put my chin on top of her head. I slowly rubbed her back.

"Promise me you won't do it again," she said.

"Lola," I said, "I-

"Promise!" She looked at me.

I closed my eyes, "I promise."

She kissed me and soon fell asleep. I held her in my arms for a while before I was able to drift off to sleep.
