Chapter 51

JACE POV!!!!

Well, I fucked up again. I hate myself for it. This month will be six months since our last fight. I've tried to kill myself multiple times. She just doesn't know that. I've tried to talk to her, and apologize and she doesn't listen.

Her new boyfriend, Aaron really grinds my gears. He knows me and I know him. I fought him freshman year, and sophomore year for taking the girls I love most from me. It's only because he's the varsity football and baseball player.

Now he's taken the heart of Lola. The baddest girl around here and he has her. Thing is, me and him were best friends until freshman year. I found out that him and my ex were sleeping together behind my back. Ever since the two fights he's backed off. I guess he's back.

I also know about his past. His dad, abuser and raper. He was sentenced to six months last October and now he's out. I fear for her. For her safety. I pray that he isn't like his dad, for her sake.

I miss her. I want to go to her house and just hug her every night. Everyday I want everyone to know that she is mine even though she's not. I just..I miss her. God, I'm the biggest dick in the world. I let her slip away..again. I just can't go on without her. It's tearing me away.

I went into work.

"Hey man," Gale said, "anything from her?"

I shook my head no and slammed my hand down on the desk.

"I fucked up so badly!" I yelled, "she'll never forget me! She doesn't even want to hear my name or to see me!"

"Dude dude," he said, "hey man easy. Chill out. It'll be ok, she'll come around."

"It's almost been a damn year!" I yelled, "she isn't going to come around! I fucked up! I can't get her back..."

"Jace," Chelsea said softly, "I can talk to her. If you want me to."

"I don't want to piss her off," I sighed, "she won't listen anyways."

"I'm her Bestfriend," she smiled, "she always listens to me."

I laid my head down on the metal desk, "if you want to."

She clapped her hands together, "I'll go over to her house later."

She stood and walked out.

"Bro what's so important about her?" Mike asked.

"Seriously?" I asked, "are you serious? She was my world man! She was everything to me! My life! I'd be dead without her! She's saved me so many fucking times! I can't owe her enough for that! Now she's gone because I was a dumbass! I ran her off! Now she's out with a new guy having the time of her life."

Mike looked down and ran his hands through his hair, "I'm sorry man."

He walked out and Jeff followed. It was back to just me and Gale.

"Dude," Gale said, "we have business to take care of. Come on. Hopefully she'll leave your mind."

I shook, "I doubt that but ok."

I walked out with Gale and went to the van. I shut the door. Tonight hopefully I'll be able to end it. The pills just haven't been working. I'll take a couple more this time. I just want it all to be over...
