Another week has gone by. I'm feeling better. I haven't gotten sick or anything. Jace still hasn't woken up and I'm getting more scared by the minute. I woke up from a nap and looked at him. I set my hand on his forehead and ran my fingers through his hair.
"Jace," I said, "I love you. Please wake up soon. Please Jace please. I need you so badly."
He looked so lifeless it scared me. He had a pulse but it was very faint. I checked it every hour.
__________
"Jace!" I screamed, "Jace wake up! Jace don't leave me! Wake up!"
The gunshot rang in my ears. The scene of the men leaving kept replaying.
::::10 minutes earlier
He woke up. He was fine and strong again. He was here with me. We were in the kitchen. Cooking and laughing. He pressed his lips to mine. They felt so good there.
We broke apart as a loud banging ranged through the house. I jumped as the front door flew open. Gunshots whizzed by me and I screamed. He pushed me to the ground. They stopped and he fell next to me. Blood pouring from his head. The front door slammed.
"Jace!" I screamed, "Jace wake up! Jace don't leave me! Wake up!"
His eyes were shut and his heartbeat was gone. I grabbed his shirt in my fists and shook.
"Wake up!" I cried, "Wake up! Wake up!"
I woke up in tears. My heart was racing and I ran to him. I set my hand over his heart and felt his beat. I exhaled and closed my eyes. I wiped my tears away and pressed my lips to his. I pulled away and ran my fingers through his hair.
"I love you," I said, "I love you so so much."
I placed a kiss on his forehead and looked at him. I brushed my thumb along his cheek.
"Please wake up soon Jace," I begged, "please."
I counted the hours of sleep I've gotten in the past two weeks. 11 hours. I am beyond tired but I'm starting to get used to it. I held his hand in mine and gently rubbed the top of it with my thumb. I curled into a ball on the floor and kept his hand in mine.

There was movement. I looked at his hand and he squeezed mine. I sat up and set my hand on his cheek. He leaned into my palm and I smiled. Tears came to my eyes and I looked at his eyes.
"Lola?" He whispered, "is-is-is that y..you?"
"Yeah babe," I cried, "I'm right here. I haven't left your side."
A small smile came across his face. His eyes slightly opened. He saw the tears and gently wiped them away. It felt so amazing, his touch. He was back. I'm so happy.
"You're tired," he whispered, "I've been here. I haven't been able to move or talk. I know about the baby. It's ok princess. It'll all be ok. I understand why you did what you did. I know you haven't really slept. Get some sleep."
"But you just woke up," I said.
"Baby girl I've been awake," he closed his eyes, "I just haven't had the strength to talk or move. Here. Come up here and sleep next to me. I'll be right here when you wake up."
He very slowly moved and pressed his body against the back of the couch. I laid down next to him and he wrapped his arm around me.
"I love you princess," he whispered in my ear, "everything is ok now."
I nodded my head and leaned into his chest. I looked up at him and he pressed his lips to my forehead. I smiled at him and closed my eyes.
