Chapter 28

JACE POV!!!!

I don't know what I did to deserve or have someone like her. Yes, she almost shot me but she didn't. The way she looks at me and smiles. The way she laughs and walks. Her attitude and how fired up she gets. She's so adorable and great. I really don't know what I would do without her. She saved my life. They probably would have let me bleed to death. She actually shot Mr. Crow. I could never do that. He was the head of everything and everyone. He killed my parents and my brother. He would have killed me too. Although she could have easily been shot and killed right in front of me, she wasn't. She pulled that trigger and down he went. Everyone there ran out and she came to me. I wanted to hug her and just hold her but I couldn't. My entire body ached so badly.

She got us home safely, and helped me inside. The alcohol and everything else she put on killed me. I don't know how she didn't scream. I had to.

She told me why she kept coming back and I had to kiss her. I never planned on falling so hard but..she made it happen. I pulled away and I just looked into her deep brown eyes. Those are the whole reason I Fell so damn hard. When the light hits them they turn into a golden color. She's that girl that nobody would fuck with but me. I'm glad that I'm the one who can handle her craziness.

"I love you baby girl," I smiled.

"I love you too," she chuckled.

I leaned my forehead against hers and gently kissed the top of her nose. She started laughing and kissed my lips. She makes the hair on the back of my neck stand up, everytime. The excitement of knowing she's mine, the happiness of having her, and the chance of keeping her sends chills throughout my body.

We have to start going back to school though. All of us. Once I am able to move around easier it's happening. I told Chelsea and Gale that earlier and they are ok with that.

"Jace," she said.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Do you promise to just stay?" She asked.

"With you?" I wondered.

She nodded and I laughed.

"Yes," I nodded, "yes I promise."

She leaned her head on my chest and fell asleep. I smiled as I just held her and ran my fingers through her hair. She's so perfect, in every way. Even her flaws are perfect to me. Nothing can break us.

For the next couple hours I only readjusted myself a few times. I held her to my body and just was there. She was cute when she slept, quiet and not giving attitude. She's adorable awake though, that way I can see her smile and cherish. She's something else but I wouldn't want her any other way.
