"Jaune!" I yelled, pounding on his door "Jaune! Come on get the door!" "All right! All right! I'm coming!" he yelled from the other side of the door. Jaune threw open the door. "What?" he groaned. "Can I come in?" I asked. "I kind of need some help." He yawned and stepped aside. "Yeah, sure come in," he murmured. I stepped into his room. I looked around and saw Nora, the girl I knocked out, and another guy wearing a green uniform with long hair reading on his bed. I looked to my right and saw another girl with long red hair organizing her books on the shelf. "So what's up?" asked Jaune. But before I could answer, a pillow hit me in the face. "Hey!" Nora said. "You're the one that beat me up!" she said. "Nora please, we're in the middle of a conversation," Jaune said. "Hey, hey Ren!" Nora called. The guy wearing green looked up. "Yes Nora?" he said in a quiet voice. "Back me up!" she yelled. "We need to pummel him and make him pay!" she said gleefully. I looked back to Jaune. He shrugged. "They're always like this," he said. I nodded and looked over to the girl with red hair. "What about her?" I asked. She then turned around and I was taken aback. "No WAY!" I said. I turned to Jaune. "You have freakin Pyrrha Nikos as your teammate?" I said. "Uh yeah," Jaune said, "It's not that much of a big deal." Pyrrha walked over to us. "Hello," she said, "Are you a friend of Jaune's?" she asked. "Yes he is," sighed Jaune, "So what did you want to talk to me about?" I snapped back to attention. "Oh..uh.. right!" I said, "There was a fight in the courtyard today between me and Zayne, my teammate." "Okay, so what?" said Jaune. "Can you check to see if he's all right?" I asked. "Jaune shrugged. "Sure why not?" he said. "Thanks you're the best!" I said, clapping him on the shoulder. I checked the time: 11:45. "Aw great," I said, "Well, I gotta go!" I yelled while running out the door. "Later!" Jaune yawned and closed the door.

I ran towards the cafeteria, which was crowded with people as it was lunchtime. I opted to grab some lunch before meeting up with Weiss. I took a glance at the menu. "Chicken Parmesan and carrots," I thought, "Eh, why not." After I got my food, I looked around for Weiss. I saw her sitting with her team near the center of the lunch room. I walked over and waved. She spotted me and waved me over and called, "Over here Ryan!" I sat down across a girl with yellow hair. "So what's going on?" I asked. I glanced around the table. A girl with a black bow was reading, while the yellow haired girl and red hood girl were both chowing down on their food. I looked back to Weiss. "So these are your teammates?" I asked. Weiss nodded. "Yep! This is Blake." The girl reading waved a hand without looking up. "This is Yang." The blond looked up and waved, then went back to her food. "And our leader Ruby." The girl wearing the red hood suddenly stood up and leaned across the table, putting her face uncomfortably close to mine. "Ummm....uhhh..." I stuttered, beads of sweat appearing on my head. I was slowly backing away when she suddenly said, "Hi!!! Welcome to our table!!!" I sighed in relief and replied," Nice to meet you too Ruby. All of you." I looked around the table. I suddenly had a feeling of belonging and a sense of security, knowing I now had these friends I could count on.

This moment was shattered when I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see an evil sneer. I felt hands grab me and lift me up over the table. They slammed me down onto the table incredible amount of force, knocking the breath out of me. "Hey!" complained Yang, "You just ruined my meal!" She cocked her arm gauntlets. At this point, Ruby also jumped up and yelled," All right! It's but kicking time!" She drew a ridiculously large scythe and slammed it on the table. I looked at who my assailant was. It was none other than Ezra herself. "What the...?" I grunted. I got no further than that when she picked me up and held me over her head with one arm. "Oh?" she said. "Seems like you noticed my semblance. I have an incredible amount of strength," she bragged. She threw me across the room. Gasps went up around the room as I flew straight into one of pillars.

Debris flew everywhere as dust blew up around the cafeteria. I wrenched myself out of the wall and landed on my feet. Red had now entered my vision and stayed there. I cracked my neck. "Hehehe," I chuckled, "Didn't even hurt." I rushed towards Ezra and kicked her in the stomach. Before she could fly too far away, I grabbed her leg and slammed her face first into the table. She flipped onto her back and kicked me in the face. I stumbled backwards a few steps and felt blood in my mouth. I spat on the ground and growled. I took off my leather jacket, revealing two scabbards attached to my back. I drew one of my swords and activated it. It unfolded itself to its full length and glowed a sinister orange. "So you want a sword fight eh?" Ezra asked. She unsheathed her katana and took a martial artists stance staying close to the ground. We rushed each other and met in the middle of the cafeteria. Our swords clashed together sending sparks flying and dust bellowing in all directions. "Kick her butt Ryan!" yelled Ruby. I parried all of her strikes and decided to kick up a notch. I ejected my other sword and activated that one too. It glowed a blue and I brought it up Ezra's blind side and it struck in the face. "Augh!" screamed Ezra. She flew backwards into the crowd and smashed into a table. I gave her no time to recover and ran after her, keeping the assault on, slashing her from all directions. It was all she could do to parry, much less fight back. I knocked her sword out of her hand, knocked her to the ground and put my foot on her chest. "Now you die!" I hissed. I put my swords together to form one. It glowed an evil purple and pulsed with an evil energy. I was about to bring the sword down onto her head when a heard a commanding voice yell, "HALT!" I looked over and saw Goodwitch running towards us with Ozpin following. I took my foot off her chest and separated my swords, sheathing them. The red was now gone from my vision. I watched as Ozpin and Goodwitch checked on Ezra. "Psst, Ryan!" I looked over and saw Yang waving me out to the courtyard. I decided to leave the scene and took off towards the courtyard.
