"All right!" the pilot yelled. "We're over the drop zone! Wait till the light turns green, then hop out!" I nodded and waited. The light blinked yellow and I got ready. I slid open a door in the side of the plane and looked out. It was night and the moon shone above the clouds; our plane casting its shadow across the top of the clouds. The light turned green and I jumped out head first. I tucked my arms and legs close to my body so I would lose altitude more quickly. I checked my HUD and it informed me now was the time to extend my arms to slow my fall. I spread out my arms and legs, slowing my descent. As I neared 2000 ft, I activated my jet boosters and slowed my descent even further. I landed quietly in the outskirts of the city and scanned the perimeter, making sure I was in a secure location. I began heading towards the city with stealth and precision, wasting no time.

The city...

I moved quickly through the city, jumping from one rooftop to the other. I checked my intel and found out my target was a student living at Beacon Academy. Thus so, it was going to be quite difficult to reach her without some opposition. I activated my nightvision and scanned the courtyard for any signs of contact. I jumped from the rooftop and sprinted across the open ground and rushed into the shadows once more. I moved ever closer to the target's room, sticking to the shadows and avoiding the moonlight. I checked the intel once more. She would be on the second floor and she wouldn't be alone, so I might have to fight my way out. I crawled up the side of the wall and peered into the room through the window. The room was dark, so I used a laser to cut a hole in the glass and unlocked the window. I quietly stepped inside and made my way over to her bed. "I'll just cut off her oxygen so she'll come quietly," I thought. I neared her bed and opened my palm. I was just inches away from her when her eyes shot open. "What the-?" she said. I thrust my palm into her face, stunning her. "Augh!" she screamed. Immediately, her teammates woke up and saw me. A girl wearing white slept across from the target. "What's happening?" she asked, still groggy. I took no chances and kicked her in the stomach and wrapped my arm around the target's throat. A girl wearing red jumped from her bed and landed a kick in my chest. "Blake, who is that?!" she yelled. I let go of the one called 'Blake', otherwise known as my target. I felt someone jump on my back, so I reached behind me and threw the person into the girl wearing red. They both went down, but probably wont stay down. I activated my semblance and picked up Blake by the neck, draining her aura. She struggled in my grip but was powerless to stop me. She soon passed out and I slung her over my shoulder. I saw a fist flying towards my face, but I caught it. The girl who threw the punch had stunning yellow hair and didn't seem to be struggling against my enhanced strength. I kicked her in the chest and she went down once more. I leaped onto the windowsill and jumped out. "RYAN WAIT!" yelled the blonde. I was confused by why she called me that. "Perhaps she confused me with someone else," I thought. I took off with the target secure and started to leave the city. I ran across the rooftop with the girl hanging over my shoulder, checking to make sure she was still alive. I knew if I had drained anymore of her aura, she could have died. She was till alive, so I made my way to the outskirts of the city.

When I reached the outskirts, I radioed in my success. "Package is secure," I said. "Requesting evac." The comm crackled for a moment. "Roger that," a voice replied. "ETA three minutes." I turned off the comm and looked at the girl. She was still unconscious, so I knelt down and looked at her face. I felt a twinge of remorse, but I pushed it away. I couldn't help but feel as if something was wrong here. The transport arrived and opened its bay doors. I walked inside and they closed the door after me. "Get her secured and prepare for take off," I commanded. The soldiers on board saluted and went off to carry out my commands. I sat down and strapped myself in, trying to push away the feeling of guilt I carried in my heart and thinking why I couldn't bring myself to kill them.

Back at base...

The soldiers carried Blake away as I left the transport to meet Adam. I stepped into the tent and saw he was speaking with John and another man. John turned and greeted me. "Ah, Omega! You have returned!" exclaimed the other man. John gestured at the new man. "That is Hanzo, he is basically the one that handles our 'transactions' if you may," John explained. I shook Hanzo's hand and looked at Adam. "Mission report," he said. I saluted and promptly said, "Zero shots fired. Encountered three enemies and dealt with appropriately," I said. "Target secured and taken to evac zone with no further skirmishes." Adam nodded his head. "You did well for your first mission," he said. He dismissed me and went back to his discussion with Hanzo and John. Seeing I was now free to do as I please, I headed to my tent. My tent served as my private quarters. No soldier was allowed to enter without permission. I took off my helmet and looked into the mirror across from me. I had an undercut with both sides buzzed. I looked into my eyes and saw the eyes of a killer. I was not afraid of what I become. I was afraid of what I used to be. I couldn't remember anything before waking up in the warehouse and meeting John and Neo. I shook my head. "Thinking of the past won't do me any good," I thought. "I need to focus on the present and the future." I decided to lie down on my bed and get some shut eye before my next mission.

At Beacon in Ozpin's Office...

"Why would Ryan want to kidnap Blake?" asked Weiss. Ozpin looked over the security footage again. "It doesn't seem like he was being mind controlled," Ozpin said. "Look at his movements and compare them to the way he fought in the tournament." Team RWBY leaned in to get a closer look. "In comparison, his new fighting style is a lot more brutal and precise," Ozpin continued. Yang clenched her fist. "When I called to him, he didn't even look back," she said. Ruby pit her hand on Yang's shoulder. "We'll find him and talk some sense into him," Ruby encouraged. Ozpin continued watching the footage. "It looks like Ryan was purposely going after Blake," he said. He stood up and looked at team RWBY. "I have a hunch that Ryan is now working for the White Fang." Weiss shook her head. "Why would Ryan ever work for and extremist group like them?" she asked. Everyone stood in silence, pondering on this. "We will continue to look for Ryan and monitor White Fang activity," Ozpin finally said. "I want you to all return to your rooms and try to get some sleep." Team RWBY started to leave. "But," Ozpin continued, "You will NOT go after him yourself." Everyone on the team nodded their heads and left Ozpin's office. Ozpin sat back into his chair and sighed. "Why didn't you tell them the truth?" asked a voice. A man stepped out of the shadows and stepped in front of Ozpin's desk. "Qrow, I didn't know you were here," said Ozpin. Qrow took a sip from his flask and sat on Ozpin's desk. "You and I both know this has to do with what happened to him as a child," Qrow said. Ozpin continued to watch the security feed. "Look at his movements," Qrow pointed out. "They're far too refined and fast to be imitated in such a short time." Ozpin nodded his head. "Ryan only went missing three days ago when he was seen leaving the hospital. His fighting style can't be imitated or taught in just three days," he said. Qrow took another sip from his flask. "Then we can rule out a memory wipe then?" he asked. Ozpin shook his head. "Maybe not just yet," he said. "Ryan probably couldn't be influenced by drugs either, he's too strong for that. But we can say that the people who kidnapped him may have done something to affect his mind." Qrow put down his flask. "Are you suggesting...mind control?" he asked. Ozpin turned off the security footage and looked at Qrow. "We can't know for sure until we test him," he said. Qrow nodded his head. "So you want RWBY to capture him and bring him back?" asked Qrow. Ozpin nodded his head. "I also want RYZE to participate," he said. "They seem best suited beacuse they have seen him fight and might know how to counter his attacks." Qrow leaned against the wall and finished his drink. "Just make sure you know what you're dealing with here," he said. Ozpin nodded and looked out of his window. "What has happened to you Ryan?" he thought.
