Nami sat with Leea and her parents eating some water tribe like food her mother made and fire nation food Leea made, Nami picked at the food her mind else where as her mother talked on about how glad she was that Nami had returned and they where going to do so much with her to make up for all the years she was gone. But one thing Nami did hear was about her living with them again in the village they where in
" we will live like a real family here again, no one can separate us now" Yuzuki took her husbands hand as she looked at them then to Nami smiling wondering her thoughts
Nami's face turned shocked as she looked at them " Live .... here .....i" she stoped as she thought about Zuko as it made her heard ache at the thought of not seeing him again " I can't, i can not stay here"
" What?" Kohaku said before Yuzuki could say a word " How can you say that, we only just found one another?!?!" Kohaku said as he stood slightly angry and hurt
" Darling, why. we love you why can you not" Yuzuki said placing her hand on to Nami's shoulder as Nami looked at her with a sad smile
" i have someone, actually a group of people. they are like my family, we worked together and defeated Ozai ....... i promised them to come back" Nami smiled letting tears flow from her eyes it was tearing her apart about having to choose between parents she had only found and her friends that she felt attached to.
" Nami please reconsider, we do not want to be apart again w-" Yuzuki was Interrupted by Nami who did not want to be tore apart from eather her friends again, Kohaku looked at Nami and his wife worried this was tearing his wife apart to be alone again with out her child
" come with me, live again with me in the palace its diffrent, Zuko is now the Fire Lord, he is a kind and gentle much like Iroh. and " Nami stopped thinking on her feeling as she smiled having bright smile and eyes looking at them " he is someone dear to me, like you are to each other, i promised him i'd come back. please I'm sure we could set up a shop in the town and we co" Nami was stopped by her father not believing it one bit that it was diffrent
" that place!! your mother was trapped in those prisons and you where taken away from her!! " he sighed trying to contain his anger at the thought of the Fire nation palace " what has changed once a son of Ozai, he will all ways be like him!" Nami's expression changed to sad and hurt as she stood and turned to walk away to the door to her tempary room before looking back at him
" you are wrong, Zuko was related to Avatar Roku. he told me and he strugled to find what he was destined to do but now, he found it and me, i don't care if you come or not. " she looked at them as she had a hurt expression as she was forceing a smile as tears fell her face to the wooden floor " all i wanted was us to stay together but i guess i was only meant to find you"
Yuzuki watch Nami turn her tear stained face to look at the door having nothing else to say, Yuzuki felt guilt as she walked over to her placing a hand to Nami's shoulder as she whipped her head to look at her shocked; Yuzuki smiled as brought her child into a tight hug as Nami hugged her back, her mother gently brushed her hand on the back of Nami's long hair trying to comfort her.
Yuzuki believed her with all her being that Nami was telling the truth, it reminded her of being the same age as her when she told her parents that she believed that she wanted adventure and find her own place to live, and find her own lover who loved her for her not her nation.
