"Your phone's ringing again, are you gonna keep ignoring him?" Callie asked, propping herself up on her elbow.

We were laying around in my room all day, just enjoying each others company, but Bradley had been calling non stop.

Instead of answering, I leaned over and declined the call, putting my phone on do not disturb.

"You can't hide from him forever you know, you're gonna have to face him soon. It has been three days since the graduation." Callie said sitting up. I could tell she was being serious when she actually used the energy to get a better look at my face.

"I know Callie, I know. I'm just scared okay," I said, sitting up as well.

"Yeah I know he can be a pretty scary guy when he's mad." Callie's seen him blow up at me quite a few times.

"Yeah but it's not even just that, I've never broken up with anyone before. And when I planned on it last time, I chickened out as soon as he started crying on my shoulder."

Callie had a little more experience with boys then I did, so I always liked getting her input on this kind of stuff.

"I know okay, but you have to be strong. Just think of Michael, think of that night and what Bradley did to him. You don't want to be with someone that would hurt Michael like that would you?"

Damn she was good, and right.

"I can't believe Bradley did that to Mike. I still can't get the image of the blood on Michael's face out of my head. I don't think I've ever been that scared. I thought he did it to himself at first, he was so drunk...." I trailed off, not wanting to remember seeing him that way. I cared about him so much, seeing him in physical pain, physically hurt me.

"I can't even imagine. I mean if I was in your place and I found Luke like that? Yeah no, I couldn't handle that," Callie said quietly, playing with her hair.

"You know, sometimes I think back to when I was trying to set you up with Bradley, and I think about how different it would be if it was Michael instead," Callie said, looking straight at me.

"Callie, you've already apologized a hundred times and I've already forgiven you a hundred times," I said reassuring her, I honestly wasn't mad at all anymore.

"I know, but can you imagine if Bradley wasn't in the picture? You and Michael would probably be married with two kids, and a three legged dog named scrappy by now," Callie said, laughing at herself.

"Oh shut up," I said, laughing with her.

"No seriously though, if I wasn't so quick to get you with Bradley then I would have seen how big of a crush Michael had on you, and how right you guys are for each other. You both would be so happy, and you wouldn't have to put your phone on do not disturb, and Michael wouldn't have a busted up face," Callie said, serious now.

"Callie stop, I promise none of this is your fault. It's mine for having an unhealthy obsession with Bradley Walker. Besides, Michael might have a crush, but I'm not sure if it's anything serious." I said, laughing slightly.

"Jessie Monday are you-"

"Oh man, you pulled out the full name this must be serious," I laughed, raising my eyebrows.

Callie rolled her eyes, "I should've known after the concert. Michael kept asking about you, he even tried to tell me once that Bradley wasn't good for you, but I just thought he was messing around."

I stayed quiet.

"C'mon Jess, the boy kissed you for christ's sake and you're not sure if he likes you? Why do you think he was so quick to tell you what Bradley said about you, he's been wanting you to break up with Bradley for months now, and not even for his sake. I hear Luke talking to him on the phone and Michael tells him how bad Bradley is for you and how he treats you like shit and it pisses him off," Callie said casually, like this wasn't new information.
