Chapter Eight - I
Money and Fame|CHELSEA's POV |
What are the top two things that most people wanted to have, except for love, happiness, and contentment? Right now, I couldn't think of anything but money and fame. It's not that I'm not okay with it, but having those things can go out of hand if people will took interest to have it. It'll be chaotic if they will try to take that away from you, or it will be hard to handle it if you have both.
Yesterday, the whole Empyrean Academy Junior high school applauded us, the Grade 10 Corinthians, for our plastic bottle rule and the mini outreach program that we had.
"Everyone, let us give a round of applause for the hardworking and brilliant minds of Grade 10 Corinthians!" Ma'am Mercy, our principal, told everyone about what we did in front of the whole school, during flag ceremony.
Because of that, we became famous. Let us give additional credits to Sarah for posting our outreach pictures online, and for Kier's vlog. I think because of their popularity, we became famous too.
As I was walking down the hallways, I can hear the whispers, and silent voices of other people.
"Taga Corinthians siya 'di ba?"
"Oo siya yata ang president."
I just lowered my head, and continued walking. How did they know I am the president- oh maybe because of Kier's vlog? I went to the second floor while just looking at the ground because there are still students who are gazing at me. But then, as expected, I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry."
"It's okay Bea," that voice is from Alice, the Romans' president. Gosh! I should've said sorry properly. What if this will trigger a war between our sections?
"Anong okay?
Do you need help?" I asked politely.
"No, thank you, it's fine." Alice smiled at me, but I'm not convinced because her uniform was wet from the coffee that she was holding.
"It's fine? Alice, baka sinadya niya yan."
"I'm really sorry-"
"Stop saying sorry."
He nodded at Alice and he looked at me while his body was still facing towards her direction.
"Why are you late?" Like, teka lang ha.
