Thank you. Gab
“Happy Christening, baby Gabbie!”
bati ni Ally as she got gabbie from my arms.
“Ninang’s turn kay Gabbie.” She declared ng nakatingin sakin with that wide smile of hers.
“Now, samahan mo na yung ASAWA mo sa pag-entertain sa mga bisita.” Then she pushed me using her arms na kumakarga sa anak ko and left me standing alone there.
So… what really happened?
“Wala naman. Pero sabi niya mas mabuti daw kung ipakasal muna kayo ni Gab bago ang binyag ng bata.”
“What?” pareho pa kami ng reaction ni Gab sa sinabi ni Mama.
Pero feeling ko mas exaggerated yung akin.
“Ma?! What on earth are you talking about?” seriously, I don’t know how to respond.
Nagiging incoherent ang thoughts ko. Ugh.
“Bakit? Is there something wrong with the two of you getting married?” nagpause si Mama at tinignan kami ni Gab ng suspicious. Napasigh tuloy ako.
“After all, you already have Gabbie at dun na rin naman ang punta niyo. Why prolong?” bumilis ang tibok ng puso ko. In my mind, I was already panicking.
Mom don’t know what she’s talking about.
Wala naman sa plano naming ni Gab ang makasal because at the first place there’s nothing going on between us. Though napaisip ako…
Saan nga ba kami papunta ni Gab?
“Your right, Ma. Dun din kami papunta ni Niobe.” Nanlaki ang mga mata kong napatingin kay Gab. Ngumiti lang siya
.
“But I don’t think now is the right time for that. Bata pa po kami ni Niobe, there’s a lot of things that the two of us can do. At kaya ko pong isacrifice yung mga bagay na yun to give Niobe happiness, but I wouldn’t let her give up those things.” Natulala na lang ako kay Gab as he seriously looked at my mom saying those things.
“Gusto ko pong maranasan ni Niobe lahat ng experience any normal teen would go through. And lastly, ayoko pong matali si Niobe sakin dahil kailangan. I want her to marry me for the reason that its our destiny.”
Aw. I found myself smiling alone in the middle of a crowded room. Toinks.
