The usual machinery was hooked up to me; I was chained up, unable to move without being shocked by billions of watts of electricity.

I was used to this treatment, it was an everyday torture.

Most of my time I was either going into some sort of trance that happened whenever I was in a situation like this, I would sing, hum, play rock em sock em Daleks, daydream, usual things.

I sighed as I looked around as much as possible.

I grinned, hacking into the computer systems, looking at the inhabitants, naming everyone from Dalek Bob, Dalek Nanook, Dalek Rose, and more.

That’s what I named them, giving each and every new and old Dalek a nickname, so I could ridicule them even more.

I eventually got bored of looking at the cameras; I eventually started counting Daleks, taking a quick cat nap.

At one point I quickly snap awake, earning a shock of electricity that helps wake me up even more.

I cry aloud in pain, the pain fading after a bit.

It usually didn’t hurt, but today was different, but I couldn’t put my finger on why it was exactly.

I just sighed loudly, deciding to sing.

I mean, it scares me that I know these song, even though I’ve never heard them, but I didn’t care.

I racked my brain for a song, I smile when I think of the perfect one, I clear my throat, and sing

“When I was a young boy,

My father took me into the city

To see a marching band.

He said, "Son when you grow up,

would you be the saviour of the broken,

the beaten and the damned?"

He said "Will you defeat them,

your demons, and all the non-believers,

the plans that they have made?"

"Because one day I'll leave you,

A phantom to lead you in the summer,

To join The Black Parade."

When I was a young boy,

My father took me into the city

To see a marching band.

He said, "Son when you grow up,

would you be the saviour of the broken,

the beaten and the damned?"

Sometimes I get the feeling she's watching over me.

And other times I feel like I should go.

And through it all, the rise and fall, the bodies in the streets.

And when you're gone we want you all to know.

We'll carry on,

We'll carry on

And though you're dead and gone believe me

Your memory will carry on

We'll carry on

And in my heart I can't contain it

The anthem won't explain it.

A world that sends you reeling from decimated dreams
