OH NO JAMES, YOU DIDN'T (Harry Potter Next Generation Time Travel Fan Fiction)

Author's Note:

This story is purely a product of my imagination and my love for Harry Potter series--books and movies. 

I do not own any characters (wish i did though) but the plot and most of the events that would happen in this story are mine. 

As was the title suggest, this is a time travel fan fiction. This was set during Harry's fifth year and sixth year so expect to see some parts from the book. All credits goes to Ms. J.K Rowling.

Chapter One

James Sirius Potter was bored. And whenever he was bored something would happen. Something bad but eventually be a hilarious thing would happen. Usually, when he is bored he comes up with a prank that would be worthy of Fred and George or the Marauders. This, of course, would sometimes end up with reducing a cousin to tears and shouting rows and even a month being grounded not to mention her mother's wrath.

However, James was really bored and having to lazily wander the house and sit for what seemed like ages, he longed to pull a prank against his younger brother Albus. 

"Wish Fred would hurry up." he muttered.

Fred is James cousin and his partner in crime. They're of the same age and cousin. People in their family even joked that they are twins with different parents for they always share the same thoughts.

Just then Albus entered the living room where James is sprawled over the sofa. He has the absent look on his face as he pored over a book on Quidditch.

"Hey Al whatcha got there?" James asked.

"A book" Albus answered sitting without prying his eyes away from the book.

James snorted "Yeah i can deduce that much Al, what I'm asking is what is it about?"

"Quidditch" Albus answred shortly. 

"Why?!? You know the game by heart and besides you haven't been made captain yet" James said

"I will be when you graduate" Albus simply answered

"Which will be three years from now, and besides you can't be too sure Neville will name you the captain seeing as there's Lily and Hugo and hell the rest of the team to choose from" James said.

"Nevill will name me captain" Albus said

"Confident are you" James said.

"I'm sure for no one with sane mind would make Hugo captain seeing as he turn green whenever shove in front of the crowd much less do a peptalk and Lily is not an option seeing as I'm older and she got a nasty temper " Albus said 

"Thanks so much my dearest brothers talking about me behind my back" Lily said as she entered the room. Then she turned to Albus "And do you have any problem whatsoever with my temper?"

"None at the moment" Albus said and for once putting down her book. "Why are you here anyway? I thought your at  Aunt Hermione's?"

"I'm supposed so, but seeing as our dear parents have another plan" Lily said "They plan to go to that horrible party that the ministry has been brewing for the last three months, our family's going as well."

"Us to?" James choked

"Oh no, I manage to talk daddy out of it, saying how is it really boring and how he and mum will not going to enjoy seeing his and her friends when they have to think about James and Fred being there." Lily answered.

"You are the devil" James said. 

"So what will happen to us then?" Albus asked.

"Well we will to stay at home, with Teddy and Victoire" Lily said. "with the rest of the gang"

James let out a whoop. 

"Good luck Vic and Teddy" Albus said.

"Mum said our cousins will be here any minute now and that we have to behave like her children and not baboons let loose" Lily said.

"As if we'd act like baboons" James said acting as if hurt with what their mother said. "We never"

Albus and Lily snorted.

That evening, just before six, James, Albus and Lily were all seated in Potter's Manor's Living room together with their cousins, Victoire, Dominique, Louis, Molly, Lucy, Roxanne, Fred, Rose and Hugo along with their god-brother Teddy. And to no ones surprise, Scorpius Malfoy was there too claiming he wants to see his best friend Albus but blushed furiously when Hugo said he only wants to ogle at Rose the whole night.

As they prepare for a tournament of Exploding Snap, Ginny and Harry went inside the living room and eyed their kids, nieces and nephews. They exchanged a look for they know that this kids are a handful. Ginny is more concerned about his eldest son being reunited with his best pal Fred.

"Are you sure you're alright with them?" she asked Victoire and Teddy.

"Don't fret Aunt Ginny, Teddy and I will be fine with them" Victoire answered smiling.

"And besides we have Kreacher for help" Teddy put in.

"Send me a patronus if things got out of hand" Harry said.

"We'll sure do that" Teddy said.

"Alright you lot." Ginny said loudly to get everyone's attention. "No fighting, no one are to leave the house. No pranks on cousins and non-cousins" She added sternly to James and Fred who is huddled together deep in conversasion.

"Now mum, that's a big accusation we haven't done anything" James tried but failed to look hurt.

"You haven't done anything yet" Ginny emphasized and the rest of the kids sniggered.

"My study is off limits." Harry added. "Don't touch anything unfamiliar and no using of floo to anybody's house and anywhere for that matter"

"Yes Daddy" the three Potters chorused at the same time the rest said "Yes Uncle Harry" together.

Just then, an otter soared in front of everyone and Hermione's voice talked.

"Hi kids"

"Hi Mum" Rose and Hugo said

"Hi Aunt Hermione" chorused the others

"I know Ginny and Harry probably warned you not to do anything stupid and me and Ron says the same, Rosie see that your brother is under control, also he's not feeling well, Victoire please see that he gets his medication, he's to take it at eight"

"I'll see to it Auntie" Victoire smiled.

"Should there be any problem send a patronus at once. That's all, have fun" Hermione said.

"Hey you lot, especially you Rosie and Hugo, should you do anything that would harm you and your brother and cousins, you'll be grounded for weeks" Ron's voice came

"Like I would do such thing" Rose said indignantly

"Same goes for you lot" Ron said to the rest of the Weasleys. "and that's from your mothers so that' means its serious, and oh Malfoy, your Mom asked me to tell you to keep out of trouble for she's not sure her heart can take it if his little Scorpy get hurt."

The people around Scopius sniggered as he turned scarlet.

"and yeah, stop ogling at my daughter" Ron said and everybody laugh.

"Dad!" Rose whispered mortified.

The otter then disappeared.

"We'll be going now. You will behave don't you? You will not do anything stupid?" Ginny said specially to James.

"Now mum what would you feel if you went home later tonight and found out I was gone and all I heard from you are accusations?" James said which made everybody laugh.

"Just making sure" Ginny said smiling as he kissed James.

The Potters then kissed their parents.

"Send me a patronus at once if anything's wrong" Harry said to Teddy.

"Sure thing Uncle Harry, have fun" Teddy answered.

With that, Ginny and Harry went to the kitchen fireplace and floo to the ministry.
