~+~+~+~"You're actually good at this." Jenna stated in a flat tone, her hands holding the camera as she judged my photography skills.
One of the guys who had been in charge of taking photo's of students decorating the school for the game had fallen ill and his partner was a panicking freshman so I decided to step in. I was always pretty good with a camera even though I knew next to nothing about them. You had to know how to take flattering pictures when you were friends with Cadi.
"Thanks," I smiled, taking the camera back to take a picture of the group of sophomores by the Koi Pond. Finding a good angle that complimented the blazing sun reflecting off of the water, I took the shot and cursed.
I had forgotten about my volunteer hours at the aquarium.
It didn't take me long to hand back the camera and find my drive, who was in the middle of a paint war with Courtney, who was bîtching loudly despite having a smile on her face. They were in the centre of the cafeteria as I leaned against the doorframe.
"You need to give it up, Court." Missy chuckled darkly, flicking the white paint she was painting a purple poster with. "He's never going to treat you like a princess. He's already found the one he wants to be a prince for and it isn't you."
Courtney's purply eyes glimmered with mischief, "You doubt my capabilities? You out of all people?" She laughed maliciously before throwing the handful of silver glitter at her.
Missy's mouth twitched up into an amused smile as the glitter stuck everywhere to her like a glitter bomb had exploded, "So you stole my first boyfriend. He was a jerk anyways." She pulled Courtney under her arm making the tiny girl shriek in shock, "But Ash is different. He's my best friend and I want the best for him. You're a bîtch and could never give him what he deserves." Missy grinned at the smirking girl before, with a loud pat on her back, she let her go. "Ash is too smart to get too involved with the likes of you."
"If I didn't know any better, Andrews, I'd think you were in love with your so-called best friend." Courtney winked knowingly while Missy turned beet red.
"But you do know better and I swear if you utter a single word—"
Courtney's face softened out uncharacteristically, "You know I wouldn't do that. I know I overstepped at lunch but I'd never cross that line on you." With her fingers covered in the dark purple paint, the white haired girl flicked it at Missy's nose.
With their fight coming to an end, I cautiously stepped over to Missy.
"Hey," she smiled brightly at me, attempting to comb the sparkles out of her hair using her fingers.
"I was wondering if you'd mind dropping me off at the Aquarium?" I asked, ignoring as Courtney hissed territorially at me and stomped away.
"Oh yeah!" Her blue eyes widened with the memory, "I forgot about that. You and Ash were volunteering together, right?"
I inwardly groaned as she grabbed my arm and dragged me off to the parking lot. Maybe I should have just played it like I had forgotten about it.

"I'm so sorry I'm late! I promise it will never happen again. I'm so sorry!" I chewed at my bottom lip, my eyebrows in a pinch as I hurriedly apologized to the guys back as he fixed up some of the crooked pamphlets behind the desk.
